You can tell Chukwueze didn't want to play. Maybe because he was benched
He wasn't confident at all
That penalty was too poor

To be honest, the Moroccan press system in the middle was crazy. Onyedika struggled twice in possession. Iwobi also got caught a few times and had to withdraw way deeper than expected.
What about us? What stopped us from pressing? It just doesn't make sense.

I hope Chelle learns.

As soon as I saw that let them have the ball comment, my morale just fell.

What stopped us from pressing and stopping the Moroccans from building play.

He struggled as much as Onyedika today. Lost multiple duels like Onyedika who lost more. Onyeka was the only true soldier in duels today. Stats and eye test dont lie.

To carry out your agenda against Onyedika you want to act like Iwobi didnt lose the ball multiple times today. Funny.

Papi85:
so to exonerate onyedika of any blame u have to add Iwobi to the equation 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nawaoooo

Na coach dey select who go play PKs?
lloydtruth:
The coach doesn't know his players. Never seen Chukwueze played penalty.
His u seriousness is taking him the Boniface path.

He needs to retire abeg. He has had his run and it's time to call it quit. In fact, he must retire whether he likes it or not

Penalties can go either way so I'm not entirely disappointed. Well done to Chelle and the boys.

Morrocco proves why they are Africa's first semi finalists. Very fine opponents. Congrats to them.

Chukwueze's attitude was more nauseating than the actual kick. Very carefree attitude. To imagine he was even brought on for penalties.

The final will be a very tough game but Morocco could edge Senegal. The officiating may not be as fair as it was in the semis

Kudos Chelle

Yes. We need to build on this success, retire some players like IWOBI and MOSES.

We did try and whenever we did, the ref called it against us in 50-50 challenges.

I disagree. In all my years of watching penalties, it's often the team who were more dominant during the regulation time game who win.

any press on the ball was a foul, that change the whole dynamic, we press we win balls it’s given as a foul
Let’s stop undermining the ref effect on this game

We have to get better at PKs.

DRC and now Morocco…

If your keeper makes a save then you have no excuses. Chuks ultimately messed up. He scores and we put the pressure on Morocco.

I hope Senegal takes it.

AFCON 2027 we go again
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by kennysville(m): 11:53pm On Jan 14
Poor poor penalties from Chukwueze and Bruno. I thot the plan was to actually drag the game into penalties meaning they must have prepared for this. If this is the game plan then it failed woefully. We might as well have gone toe to toe with them in regulation as against allowing the press we had. But it is what it is. We move

A Nigerian journalist asked this coach what was the preparation for penalties incase such happens, instead of seeing the signs, he waved it off arrogantly as he believe the match won't go into extra time.

Amedino99:
we have been on such highs before. DRC is a recent example. If we fall we will dust ourselves up, accept the bronze, share our heartache on losing (with reduced activity here for the next 3 weeks) and return to normal activity discussing about the next qualifiers in the pipeline to play whether its next year's afcon or 2030 WCQ.
for the second time in a row we falter at the penultimate stage, with the familiar penalty shootout being the weapon against us. FIFA should do the needful soon lets get our affairs in order. We look forward to Saturday

Why don't they stay on the White line
See classy way Dele Bashiru took his pen
Chukwueze didn't even show sign of seriousness before taking the pen

Fantastic run ended by ill luck.

Some of the players picked the wrong match to shut down [again]
