Thank God people on X are confirming what I just said about Chukwueze. He did it intentionally. There's no mistaking his body language.

Black man. Never thinks of the collective good.
No professional player will deliberately lose a penalty ..what will he gain ?

Keep pressing. Let the referee keep giving fouls. Better than sitting back and allowing them with the ball. Sitting back gives us little to know chance to attack.
Did you see the foul that caused the yellow card given to Bassey? Dude was pulled down yet received yellow. I never saw that before.

Huh? This conspiracy angle get as e be ooo lol

kennysville:
Am tempted to say they were offered a world cup play off slot in place of beating the hosts at home. Cos the performance defies logic

COOL10:
Nigerians complain too much. The boys did well given everything they faced today from the referee. Morocco should be ashamed of themselves for being unable to score a goal in 120 minutes despite all the shenanigans from the referee.
We did not do well in today's game. So we should dance about that and not look at what we missed and learn from it.

I don’t think we should scapegoat any player this time around!

Penalties are not our thing especially when we no longer have Ekong!

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Justice505: 12:06am On Jan 15
This is wickedness at its peak how can you sabotage a whole team because of playing time, yobo as a captain escorted the super eagles to win the afcon in South Africa he didn't play much he won the cup

Chukwueze have silver and bronze already if you're not getting game time why sabotage the team why not tell the coach you don't want to play, this is wickedness am just hurt.

Like the other team too.
The Moroccans are a machine
Well oiled, well drilled and they have string momentum
It was always going to be a tall order beating them, especially with CAF backing them shamelessly

TheSuperNerd:
Onyedika was already doing that and his main receiver, Iwobi was always swamped. So he withdrew. This is also simple.

You cannot blame Onyedika without also pointing out Iwobi's struggles today which resulted in us not dominating the middle.
This one still dey defend Onyedika

This post gave me chills.

That statement is straight from the books of Oliseh and I can't help but reflect on the picture of Oliseh with Chelle in camp.

I hope Chelle is not listening to that Oliseh's give them the ball and take the win talk.

If Chelle tries it, Nigeria will be cooked.

Chelle should stick to his philosophy. That is what has gotten him this far and will take him to the cup.

I said this day before the game. Funny it happened.

LET THEM HAVE THE BALL.

Oga he doesn't want to win, he doesn't feel remorse or show sign of seriousness after missing the penalty.

Very childish talk ,I know he is talking based on pain and anger over the defeat . Why will a player deliberately lose penalty ?

i dont think we practice penalty during training session..:we are really bad at penalty….i know Bassey lost against DRC….if im d coach i will major on my defenders,Midfielders and strikers for penalty practice during training section…i also feel Osimhen should be taking penalties…
Use your confident players to start
1. Lookman
2. Osimhen
3. Bashiru
4. Bassey(though he lost his kick vs DRC but i will still give him another chance
5. Akor

i kno those guys were tired, but i feel they will be more precise with their penalties…not some stylish kinda players
against DRC it was Simon
Today na Chukwueze

NWABALI na man abeg.
✅💯

He did his part perfectly well from the numerous save in Regulation time and the penalty save. Our penalty takers let him down, same thing against DR CONGO.
