TheSuperNerd:What was even more painful was the manner in which he took the penalty.. Dude just passed the ball to Bono, chewing and blowing gum like a roadside ashawo.. He should pick himself up though We need everybody Abeg make we see Akinsanmiro, Usman, Fago and others in the next game |

Subzero0477:Systematic press is not with three players. In a back four, three players are totally outnumbered with a goal keeper. And, the defenders of Morocco had a field day. I never saw any of them troubled during build up. It was towards the end we saw some pressing life. |

Our system and pattern were countered by the Moroccan coach ,our coach didn't have alternative . He has tried let him continue the job he needs to work on having tactical changes levels. The strength of the Moroccan is midfielders,if we came with Plan the game would have change |

TheSuperNerd:The main reason Iwobi withdrew was to help build play, he was seen playing even deeper than Onyedika, what does that tell you. Iwobi wouldn't have played deeper if Onyedika was not failing in his duties. Onyedika let us down. There is no way anyone can sugarcoat this. |

This current Super Eagles generation feels like the England national team of the 2000s. Insane individual talent. Some of the best players in the world at the time. Can dominate teams when they really mean business But... Hardly any major trophies won Struggle to qualify for major tournaments Terrible during penalty shootouts |

minfelix:My bro I know Senegal is playing Morocco But na here we go dey and Senegal go win before full time They have players that can make magic happen I know say you dey use style insult me but I don't mind Na trolling I dey See ehn..I told them on this thread that Iwobi would be swarmed and it will kill our vibe. They shut me down , especially thr ITKs saying that if that happens there'll be space for our boys to capitulate. I look them begin laugh Today proved me right as always Also, I've been warning them about Chukwueze since 2018/2019 |

orriyomi33:It's demoralizing I was even afraid Bruno was going to get a card when he lashed out at that Moroccan winger for kicking him The boys did well abeg Morocco for all their so called domination didn't have any clear cut chance.. Just half chances and shots from outside the 18 |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 12:38am On Jan 15 |
TheGoodJoe:The Moroccans didn’t score because our defence and keeper was top notch! The middle was where we lost the game as we couldn’t progress the ball much. Nididi does both defensive and attacking duties flawlessly allowing Iwobi to roam as he like but onyedika was slow in decision making that he has to be passing backwards most of the time |

NIGHTMARE0O7:Well said , I was expecting Chukueze to come and run the flanks and make some crosses but coach brought in Bashiru to play as a winger . The coach is what we can afford , he is not a grade A coach but he is trying . |

TheGoodJoe:You are trying too hard to force his pre match presser into the outcome of the game. We set up exactly the same way as our previous matches. |

Spainever:When i saw the moroccan 4-1-4-1 i knew trouble was coming to the party. We will require long balls, but our long ball specialist failed woefully. Raphael Onyedika is the most skilled passer of the ball in the current crop, but that is just a skill. His footballing is not yet elite. |

Chai God This tournament is now too hard o And Nigerian politicians don't have any will to host any international sports competition Hosting is a cheat to win Like Ivory Coast Like Morocco |

Justice505:I guess that's the new norm with dem. Watch Simon Moses own against DRC. He was brought in during the extra time and took part in the penalties, no effort, no power to play ball. If Chelle were to a Nigerian, I trust what he would do. |

This is not an agenda against Iwobi but our midfield struggles today falls on him and Onyedika. Onyedika struggled against the Moroccan press. He wont give us the Ndidi aggression, I already mentioned this in my analysis pregame. But he was expected to offer us a decent defensive cover at least and passing buildup base. He partly carried out his duties but not in a great manner and also his buildup duties had to be altered as Alex was struggling too against the press whenever Onyedika gave him the ball. Onyedika still defended when needed and used 2 tactical fouls to help the team. He also did drive us forward on 2 occasions. Yes, he struggled but he was not all bad. Iwobi also struggled in in duels and possession loss today like Onyedika. Onyedika lost 2/12 duels in total, was dispossessed 2x. Iwobi lost 2/10 duels in total and was dispossessed 3x. It is Onyeka who gave us a fighting chance in the duels battle. He won 6/9 of his. So you see.... it is just a pointer to how the game went. I mean, Onyedika was subbed out and who were you expecting to come in? A suspended Ndidi? A young inexperienced Nnadi or Akinsanmiro who has only played a friendly? Who? Usman mohammed maybe... So face the truth. Papi85: |

Mujtahida:We allowed the Moroccans build from the back. We did not let other teams have such freedom. Finito. |

Chelle needs more time to build a formidable side Especially with Benjamin, Chrisantus and others coming back They need to increase the backroom staffs though See Morocco have all types of specialized coaches, set pieces etc Give this man contract till 2030? world cup But this man dey stingy or delay subs sha It was easy to spot that Adams was tired when he couldn't make accurate passes |

Blueelf:so what is your joy gan gan🤣…not like the option you would suggest here would have saved us from this penalty loss na if you b coach seeing how Iwobi have been playing since match day1….wait wait first baba, talk true….will you bench him in today’s game? You are warning against players, but you no dey profer solution..:so your own na make you warn people here against a certain player and then wait to laugh at them when they use the player…wetin come b ya aim gan gan gan gan bayi🤣🤣…cos most times i see your troll and just laugh hard and i will be like “wetin this particular moniker dey find gan gan, wetin b him issue with super eagles gan gan gan”🤣🤣 |

Goke7:Onyedika to me was not the problem. To me the problem was us not causing problems in the opposition areas. I believe with intensity and aggressiveness in our attack area, we would have excelled. That is where we would have created chances. |
