yinkeys:We need to push vigorously for either hosting 2028 or CAF returning to biennial competition. I'm very disappointed that Pinnick for all his rubbing with the creme cannot translate it to any benefit for us. |

TheGoodJoe:There is no way we were going to do that with Morocco. They are a good side. In the second half when we tried thrice, twice they lost-played the ball for throw-in. Once they transitioned well and almost scored from the counter. With Ndidi probably, it would have been different because he would have given better cover. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Kilishihunter: 1:12am On Jan 15 |
We have to thoroughly search both locally or through the foreign borns for at least two midfielders that can progress the ball and beat the press before the next AFCON. The officiating was terrible but we shouldn't always be held to ransome once the passing lanes are blocked. I can't even blame ndidi 's unavailability today cause he was there when DRC used close to this same Moroccan tactic on us |

lbrichman2:Yinkeys makes that statement so that we can host and rig our way too to winning... To show that the North Africans or others (CIV in 2024) are not the only ones adept at forcing games to bend to their will.Yinkeys, calm down...

mank1234:That was our way to win and yes, we can achieve it with a proper set up. The fact is that we prepared to let the Moroccans have the ball. |

lbrichman2:Chukwueze is a better dribbler than lookman they are 2 different people. Lookman is more selfish he wants to score too..but Chukwueze focus more on assist than goals. Chukwueze is better than lookman on 1 v 1 |

Progress the ball and beat the press is one... but there is a third element. Physical aggression. These midfielders must be badass aggressive as well as technical. I know I am a brain over brawn football lover but I prefer a player that can do both with immaculate balance. Even if the balance is decent, I go still manage and build on am. This is why it hurts seeing Christantus Uche used as a striker at Palace. That is one guy to put in the middle and come up against such a system. BEASTLY strong, technical, progressive, and also not slow. A Yaya profile. Being Progressive and Technical like Onyedika is no longer enough. If you are not Physically aggressive, na minus be that. This is where Onyedika really failed today. He should have stepped up his "aggression meter" to ensure his other qualities shone through against the press. No way that Moroccan press will bully or push back a midfield of Powerhouse yet technical midfield players. Kilishihunter: |

Goke7:Morocco owned the midfield yet couldn't create any clear cut chance.. Even with the ball we left for them.. Osayi and Bruno stopped all crosses Them comot all their strikers because they no see ball play.. They brought in El neysri to do cross and nod, yet still no cross.. How can we ignore all that and begin to blame strikers Strikers how?? |
