Hello

What do you guys thinks about these two cars as a first time buyer and driver.

The first is Peugeot 307 and the second is Toyota Corolla Obama.

Which would you advise I go for as Nigerian used and why?

My mind is tilted more to the Toyota Obama but I hear most of them usually develop electrical issue due to them being converted from right to left hand driving when they come in Nigeria.

But the toyota corolla that was not converted and have peace!

Peugeot is a strong car. Buy it already since you said the Toyota used to have issues

Honestly, between the Peugeot 307 and the Toyota Corolla Obama, I’d lean towards the Corolla overall especially if you can find one that wasn’t converted from right-hand drive, because those conversions sometimes bring extra electrical headaches.

Get the Obama. It is the hatchback version of the original Uber Corolla. You should only get the Peugeot if you are buying foreign used, you can drive manual transmission and you have a specialist beside you.

The TJ5 1.6 liter engine in the Peugeot is more fuel efficient than the 1.8 liter in the Corolla tho.

Solid hatchbacks both of them.

We always advise our customers to buy corolla because naija mechanic understand it better and the ruggedness

Maintenance wise, and reliability, go for the toyota, the cars are good especially the Toyota but note that 80% of those models in nigeria are right hand model converted to left hand drive for Nigeria road
This isn’t an issue if properly done but ensure all conversion hole are well sealed or else expect water to be flowing into your car every time you go to the car wash to wash your car that will end up taking days to dry

Toyota hatchback

Avoid that Peugeot if you like yourself, Toyota has good reliability score.

Toyota Corolla Obama ,euro model. look for direct left hand drive. Run from 307.

Buy a Corolla 2005 LE and have peace of mind. She's an understanding girlfriend. My first car was the sedan Corolla 2005 LE. You can choose to design it with alloy wheels and new seat covers and an Android system. Ensure you change the oil timely, and water the radiator, never ignore any leg noise and you'll live longer than Metu. The car made me only buy Corolla products..even their SUV..the Cross. I like the Mercedes, BMW, Peugeot and other sweet brands but I cannot afford its problems.

If you however feel the need to look like Wike, buy a Nissan Murano.

It depends on what you want both good one is for relaxation and comfort while the other is for relaxation comfort and durability the Toyota
