don’t be surprised that Nigeria may be compensated with qualifying for the World Cup ahead of DRC

The coach gave Morocco the Victory. The same thing happen in 2023 final our coach gave Ivory coast victory due to tactical level. We don't have much money to hire Grade A coach , make we dey manage Cheille dey go . He don try
The Grade A Petkovic wey Éric Chelle beat for quarterfinals nko?

The man has done very well jare, the way we've been playing made us get carried away and thought we'd breeze through Morocco, but this is a team that beat Spain, Portugal and Belgium at the World Cup.

We didn't sit back, we played ball, but our passes to the attack were cut, plus the officiating was so bad that most of our buildup play were interrupted by stupid foul calls.

This same Morocco, hot from their World Cup run were eliminated in the Round of 16 by South Africa and they didn't sack their coach, they've been building for over 3 years. If them like make them sack Chelle, that will be the most stupid thing the NFF will ever do.

Against DRC we folded, against Morocco, in front of 65k+ fans, lasers, hostility and bad officiating, we didn't fold. It had to be decided by PKs, we weren't poor at all, the results just didn't favour us, and Chukwueze didn't help matters, but we move.

We pressed them, but withdrew as the ref had it for us. It is simple. The bassey yellow was a turning point.

See how the ref killed this move..
I feel like swearing for him papa
But unfortunately I don't do that..

Even the Moroccans didn't know what he blew for..

At France 98 vs Spain, the ref was not Dan Laryea.

TheGoodJoe:
When we met Spain in France 98, I remember the statement, Are you scared of Spain? Bora replied, Spain should be scared of us.

If I remember well, Spain had Raul, Morientes, Luis Enrique, Alphonso, Sergi, Hierro, Etxeberria, Zubizaretta and a host of stars.

Men we gave them hell. To the point they lost it. We played with fire.

I prefer we go for glory than lose than play as a chicken, hoping for luck to win.

If this afcon was hosted outside of Morocco I bet you that they highest they can get is the second round or quarter finals
That's what I said. They are not all that abeg. Off a wonderful world cup in 2022, they were ran out of Afcon 23 by South Africa.

The surest way to win afcon is if the afcon knockout stage(quarterfinals/Semifinal) is crowded by less fancied opponets causing upsets on big boys in the previous stage …
maybe like SA removing Morocco to enter the quarterfinals and Benin removing senegal to reach Semifinals and Mali beating Egypt to meet Nigeria at the final….super eagles over the years till date is not looking like a team that can win a final against powerhouse..
Vs Senegal
Vs Morocco
Vs CIV
Vs Ghana
Vs Cameroon
Vs Algeria

make luck just help us align 2027 Afcon knockout stage in this way:👇🏽
Nigeria Vs a lesser opponent (R16) maybe B/faso
Nigeria Vs a Stronger rival (quarterfinals) maybe Egypt
Nigeria Vs a lesser underdog who just made an upset(Semifinal) maybe Capeverde
Nigeria Vs a lesser opponent (Final) South Africa or Zambia
I disagree.

Ater the Q/F performance against Algeria, I fancied our team's chances against every team except Morocco.

Morocco or Senegal , whoever may win it are not better than us.

You'd only appreciate how well we played when you see the way Morocco will defeat Senegal in the final

bro football games aren’t only won on the pitch

A lot happens behind the doors and that’s the edge the North Africans have over other regions when it comes to African football

Also that was the edge Cameroon had over top African nations including Nigeria during the reign of Issa Hayatou

Go and watch the penalty Ajayi played against DRC. It was lame. Nobody blamed him. Omeruo was cool. Chukwueze was laughing or rather had this irritating smirk on his face. Their approach is not the same. Thats why the result is different.
las las i will blame it on ill-luck that the keeper read his direction….walai if that ball score…nobody go remember wether he dey chew gum or smile to take that penalty…if Bono had gone the wrong way, na sweet placing all of us for call am…

i will say it again…Omeruo played a very whack penalty that year against SA…if Keeper had caught the ball, forgetiiiii!!! no b nairaland and 9ja fans wey we know?….baba dem go cook Omeruo wetin no good🤣🤣

Look at this screenshot.

The same question i asked thesupernerd

The same thing the Moroccan coach noticed and we were knocked out

Hope it's very obvious now. Chelle had jo answer to this

The Super Eagles were too obvious in their tactics
After blocking passing lanes, how many goals them use am score?

Do you realize we also clipped all their strikers?
Brahim.. neutralized
Ekaabi.. neutralized
Elneysri.. neutralized

But yes, continue to run your agenda

The only reason we lost yesterday was because Chuks missed
Simple

When we met Argentina in Atlanta Argentina has Ariel Ortega, one of the best dribbling attackers to grace football. Hernan Crespo was a World Star. Claudio Lopez was a super star of the series a. I think Gallardo was also there. Javier Zanetti and a host of stars. We played them with guts and bravery.

I prefer we give them hell and lose than play like a chicken and hope to win. I have never known Nigeria for fear. How it is has become a norm baffles me.
We didn't play like a chicken. It was an even game. That's why it got to penalties. You speak as if we were camped in our own half and Morocco won 3-0.

We played with courage. Yes we did.

I get your point. Very well but I have this orientation, did we do our best? Before going at the Ref, Chelle chose to abandon his system and play defensive. I can't look past that first.

I said earlier, one of the hardest lessons I learnt from Guardiola, even sometimes, Pep Guardiola misses it but it is of you play 100% well, it is hard for Referee to rob you.

It is a tough lesson but it has slowly soaked in.

We did not give our best. 16 shots to 2 shots says it all. In a team with Lookman, Akor and Osimhen.

It was not ill - luck. It was deliberate sabotage.

How would the goalkeeper not catch the ball? Even you, you go catch that ball. He positioned his body, telling the Gk where he wanted to play the ball, then as if that was not enough, he passed the ball to the Gk.

You are coming to play penalty at a semi final oo. This boy do us wetin no good.

Press. Ensure to keep the fouls clean and tactical and the cards won't come. We chose to soak pressure.

Men, this video broke my heart. Bovi, take heart.

For real, anyone not seeing playing for Nigeria as a fight to death thing should stay clear. Enough of this chicken football.
It's rubbish talk. Even soldiers facing real battles mutiny because of their money.

We should pay our players. We cannot disrespect our football by serially owing players and expect the players to die on the pitch. They should come and die on the pitch because of football and the administrators and the government keep doing the same thing.

E easy to talk. Can you work without being paid? That's why Kog45 said you are theoretical.

The players should be praised and encouraged.

Pay them. Don't gaslight them with this stupid, senseless talk about dying on the pitch.

Because they were direct with their play. Look at the shots. It will tell you the whole story.
All those aimless shots and shots from fraudulent set-pieces?

We played ball jare, I'm satisfied with the Super Eagles performance in this match given the circumstances, environment and officiating. You dey make am look like say Morocco dominate the game and you dey make am sound like say Morocco na Guinea-Bissau.

This is a lesson for our coaches we can’t ignore no matter how we feel!

Chelle did try to respond. When Akor was not seeing the ball, he went wingwards to receive. Nigeia did try to get on the front foot in that second half but everytime we did, the Ghanaian ref intervened with treacherous calls. Even the commentators twice asked what the foul call is for because they dont see anything.

There was even a call for a non existent throw in after Bruno won the ball. Laryea of Ghana kept messing up our plays.

Anyone can say passing lanes were cut but not everyone noticed that we did try to get around that challenge but were stopped by the ref nearly every time.
Chelle brought in Simon to try to go through the wings
We all saw how the ref kept frustrating him
There was this non-existent foul he awarded against Simon on Hakimi

Work difder. Give me work where you will pay my trips , keep me in five star hotel, feed me three times a day. Buy me kits and keep me where I will have steady power supply. If you owe me, I will find my way if it will result in me writing my name in history.
