Like brooooo i agree with you…people easily paint agenda so quickly eehnnn…nothing wey anyone wan tell me
i still calmly watch Omeruo penalty, bro he was lucky we beat SA with that moomoo thing he played as penalty and we qualified to the final, that penalty if caught by Williams, una go cook him life for here and say he deliberately sabotaged the team, cos he was not even playing at that tournament…he came from the bench and played that secondary school boy penalty🤣🤣🤣
But make our players stop this panaeka nonsense, I agree with Bovi, shoot the damn thing to tear the net, this La Liga play no follow for this African game, na wetin affect Akor and Osihmen yesterday where dem dey find each other instead of taking shots.

Dem no dey see Senegal, imagine Mane no shoot that ball! This our team has done excellently, but lessons must be learnt well.

We have so much vitriol as a people..
Normally Osimhen for rough am
But dude thought to himself, these people no worth am
Especially after all the backlash he received after the Lookman saga

The way we cancel players as though they never did anything good in the past, is not good

Now everybody dey praise Bassey, make he score own goal or cause penalty wey cost us the game, everyone go turn around abuse am..

We won't get our best players especially FBs to play for us, if we keep this up
That's true, that's why I won't join anyone blaming any particular player now, but lessons must be learnt. The Eagles raised the hopes of Nigerians too high, only to be dashed again. Perhaps we should be managing our expectations better. For me, I was satisfied after our game against Algeria.

It was not ill - luck. It was deliberate sabotage.

How would the goalkeeper not catch the ball? Even you, you go catch that ball. He positioned his body, telling the Gk where he wanted to play the ball, then as if that was not enough, he passed the ball to the Gk.

You are coming to play penalty at a semi final oo. This boy do us wetin no good.
Baba calm.down o. Accusing Chukwueze of sabotage in taking his penalty is taking things too far.

His attitude, body language, demeanor and facial expression were all off and seemed like he didnt appreciate the seriousness of that moment and the importance of scoring that penalty, and he missed it but to label him a saboteur? Mba, that's too extreme and unacceptable.

Below is what I posted last night

I don't even understand our players.

I've watched interviews of many of them, and they say they practice penalties in training every day.

Yet, they always take terrible PKs during PSO.

Look at Chukwueze taking that penalty so lackadaisically and nonchalantly. His body language, approach and demeanour was so off, like he didnt wanna be there and I knew he was gonna lose it.

Is that the kind if penalty he's been taking during training that he was brought in and selected to be our second PK taker?

No be na wa, na real wa

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 1:15pm On Jan 15
Another takeaway from this Afcon is for us to be cautious with the way we manage our most experienced players. In our last afcon semi final win against SA, we had experienced players like Ekong, Omeruo, and Iheanacho taking pks. I believe Ekong still has a role in this present Afcon, especially with his performance at the last Afcon. Let's ensure we are not too quick to retire our very experienced players who could still offer some benefit to us. We may still need Ndidi and Iwobi for the next three or more years if they are still fit. Simon can go, Chuks, we can still manage.

Coach Westerhoff had Bonferee Joe
Coach Samson Siasia had Simon Kalika

Perhaps NFF should recruit Simon Kalika to assist Coach Eric Chelle.
Simon Kalika is a brilliant mind when it comes to football.

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Sarsaparilla524(m):
Nigeria’s semi-final loss to Morocco at AFCON 2025 wasn’t just about penalties—it was a tactical defeat long before the shootout. Morocco dominated the midfield, crowded Lookman and Akor, and snuffed life out of Osimhen at the centre. Our attacks were repeatedly blocked, forcing Nigeria to play containment football while Morocco dictated the pace.

Coach Chelle’s decisions came under scrutiny. Removing Onyedika for a wing forward, Moses Simon late made little sense—Simon did nothing to protect the midfield or revive the attack. Nnadi, a DM in for Onyedika could have taken over to keep Osimhen fresher while maintaining stability in midfield. Game Management 101!

Moses Simon or Chukwueze could have replaced Akor Adams earlier, who struggled and was substituted too late. Bold coaches might even consider moving Lookman when the system isn’t working. These options weren’t utilized, leaving the team unable to shift momentum.

Osimhen’s captaincy seemed to weigh on him, making him subdued despite his quality and influence when he played.

Despite these challenges, the Super Eagles showed resilience, skill, and pride, even forcing Morocco to be cautious at times because of Nigeria’s speed on transitions. Yet, the lack of tactical flexibility limited their opportunities to create meaningful chances.

Chukwueze’s penalty attempt was ridiculously clumsy, almost giving the keeper an easy read. This guy okay so??

The Moroccan coach outclassed and outfoxed ours, and that reality must be acknowledged. Nigeria had moments of quality, but sticking to a system that wasn’t working allowed Morocco to dictate play for most of the match.

The referee, a Ghanaian, was effectively the man of the match with questionable calls, highlighting the challenges of playing against the host nation amid CAF structures that often favour them.

The lessons are clear: Nigeria has talent, but tactical flexibility, smarter substitutions, better in-game adjustments, and strategic captaincy are essential for AFCON 2027.

Famocious:
Honestly, the Super Eagles deserve respect and some serious slack. They fought hard, but the referee sucked the life out of the game with obvious one-sided decisions. Our boys had to play on eggshells, while Morocco played freely, knowing fully well they had the referee on their side.

Add to that the fact that Morocco were comfortably based in Rabat all through the tournament, while our lads had to move twice, both physically draining and mentally unsettling. Then throw in a massive home crowd roaring behind the hosts; that kind of pressure can overwhelm even the best teams.

Yes, Chelle could have done more tactically in the second half, the changes and substitutions didn’t quite spark the boost we needed. But even with all these odds stacked against them, the boys showed heart, grit, and character.

For me, they played beyond expectations. Proud of them.
Excuses upon Excuse!
because they had to travel? That's why they failed to deliver?
The crowd is overwhelming? Like it's the first time they are playing in such a big stadium? And the technical crew did not brief them on what is about to come??
I hope your personal life is not disintegrated like this.

[color=#000099]That is why the likes of Kanu Nwankwo and Ikpeba did the impossible against Brazil. They did not have this chicken mentality that the other side is better.

We should start growing balls or let us have peace. Tired of this our chicken mentality that we are mediocre.

We are not.

I Agree with you , we need players with balls , who can take the fight to the opponent when things are rough ... we have seen that in Bassey ....Onyeka .Frank the tank. Bassey made some accurate passes other than his primary assignment . even in such situations there was no errors of any kind ... truly we need players with balls . but in all SE has done well .kudus to Eric Chelle , the team can get better .

Everyone can see that we still need quality players. I wasn't even scared when bassey got the second yellow card, I was asking myself who's going to replace bassey. You cannot trust awaziem and igbo.
We all can see that the midfield is still a problem. The coach should try and get those guys from Everton and the other one playing for bunley, then that turkey guy.
We have a very big midfield problem. It's high time we let go of the trio and look for reliable players. We already have the attack and the defense. But the middle is none creative.

After watching our boys yesterday, can you honestly say they didn't give their all?
Did you not see them fighting on even in the face of clear favoritism towards the Moroccans?

Did we not try to win the game and the referee kept killing our momentum with questionable calls?

In all of that, did you see their heads drop?
They gave everything yesterday..

Now imagine doing all that, then opening social media and seeing insults, abuse and curses against you..

This has happened time and time again, especially to Iwobi. Yet he still comes, he still plays, still gives his all
Some are still abusing him and calling for him to be dropped

Now put yourself in their shoes
Then think if you're a FB player, would you want to represent this kind of nation?

That's why they show love from afar
But still don't agree to play for us
