We should allow a number of our players return to their club as a big middle finger to CAF. I would only keep 16 to 18 players for that last match.
If not because of how it would look, if I was Osimhen or Lookman sef, I would leave

Documenting the questionable decisions by this Ghanaian referee (Nigeria vs Morocco):

18’
Brahim kicks the ball out. The referee blows against Osayi and gives the throw-in to Morocco.
Note: There were wrong calls before this, but let’s start here.

22’
Brahim clearly handballs while trying to chest the ball. No whistle.

32’
Bassey is given a yellow card for an action that wasn’t even a foul.

34’
Clear foul on Ezzazouli not given.

36’
Another obvious foul ignored.

51’
Lookman is clearly pulled. No foul.

52’
Onyedika goes for a fair 50-50 ball. The referee blows against him.
It feels like Nigeria is not even allowed to touch a Moroccan shirt.

58’
Osayi is simply marking Ezzazouli. Suddenly, a free kick for Morocco.

65’
Ezzazouli blasts the ball away. No yellow card.

68’
The ball never leaves the field, yet the referee gives a throw-in to Morocco.
Even Moroccan players look confused.

88’
Free kick given to Hakimi when Moses Simon clearly didn’t touch him. It should have been Nigeria’s corner.

92’
Moses Simon cleanly wins the ball from Hakimi, but the referee calls a foul, stopping a clear counterattack.

93’
Clear foul on Onyeka. Referee waves play on.

99’
No yellow card for Brahim after pulling Bruno and stopping an attack.

102’
No yellow card for Igamane after stopping Osayi’s attack.

103’
The referee blows against Bashiru for absolutely nothing.

115’
Clear foul on Osayi. Completely overlooked.

This very game is enough to make me cross to that dreaded side of what many of us will tag conspiracy theories. It reeks of it. No need to be uncomfortable saying it out. That was no game. That was a staged play. A puppet show with a master eager to do the needful. When i saw that stat that said Morocco did the most fouls in the entire group stage(48) and got just 1 yellow card, i knew they will favour them all the way. Now they did 24 vs Nigeria and didn't get 1 called for a card? Over 16vs Cameroon too.

This is no AFCON.

I wish Nff can be that petty though.

Bro , I’ve been insulted plenty of times here already 😂. But it’s social media , everyone is Brock Lesnar online. Half the weaklings throwing insults wouldn’t have the nerve to say it to my face.

Also, I didn’t call him a coward as a person but imagine you are a soldier and you see your commander running away from gunfire? lol.

Osimhen, lookman and Iwobi are forward players. Imagine playing attacking position and shying away from penalties in big 2026.I swear football is dying. These players are more afraid of failing than focused on winning.

When some fans say “the pressure was too much”, it sounds like these players are not built for the very environment they live in. It’s a really big issue because they’ve shown time and time again that mentally they can’t cope with the pressure which makes sense why they’re not going to the World Cup..
you have a point baba🙌🏻….seriously i wonder why our attackers are scare of pk….
You dey wine Obafemi Martins for 2006 and 2010 afcon?
You dey wine Nsofor for 2006 and 2010 afcon?
Even Kanu,Mikel,Yekini are all fearless penalty takers…na this set of super eagles i dey see say our attack minded players dey run for pk🤣🤣
No lookman
No Akor
No Osimhen
No Iwobi

chai our potent starting front three missing in a prnalty shootout…
same thing last afcon
No Lookman
No Osimhen
it was a substitute Moffi that summon courage to start that PK shootout

walai dey are really scared of pressure

@TheSuperNerd

Been on X going through videos of those who were in the stadium for the game and I see your point.

With how atrocious the officiating was, it was hard for our players to get into the frame of mind to really push for an intense pressing game.

I also agree that even the Super Eagles of old would not cope under such terrible officiating.

It was a disgrace.
Look at this one too. Onyedika executed a clean tackle and won the ball but the ref called it against us. Look at how Iwobi reacted. Look at the steam it took out of our lads.

This clip is also part of why I say Onyedika was not all bad yesterday. He was not as physically assertive and aggressive as he should have been given the occasion but he did do some things right.
Below is yet another stat backing it up, under intense pressure, this guy still finds the pass.... he only need to up his physical aggression meter.

elyte89:
Personally ,I have no problem with someone missing penalty cos I know it’s a 50/50 stuff, however one attitude matters so much…chukwueze body language b4 taking that penalty attracted the dragging ..at least Bruno missed too, y wasn’t he dragged ? Cos professional attitude as player matters a lot. Chukwueze really messed up,he could have just excused himself if he wasn’t mentally ready to play the penalty shootout ..I just rewatched d penalty again, felt like punching him

Later that Algerian, Bouaddi or what is his moniker will come here asking the thread why Nigerians or other Africans have harsh words for the North Africans. I find such question very insulting because we all see it. Even the North Africans see it too.

The Algerians most especially have been using yesterday's game to push a story about the murder of a Malian Journalist who was always outspoken against the CAF establishment and Moroccan FA boss, Faouzo Lekjaa who is also CAF 1st VP, at this afcon. According to reports, the guy was murdered in his hotel room. I dont know how true this is but it is not impossible for the Moroccans or any North African to do to win at all costs while shutting up any outside opposition that threatens to expose or go agaisnt them.

Even Samuel Eto'o has been sanctioned for his outbursts in the Cameroon vs Morocco game.

See ehn... the WAFCON coming up, I pray our Super Falcons wound them again.

I can’t be the only one who understands how ref ruin games, this ref dropped our play.

This boys couldn’t not do anything right, so you people even understand, Moroccans could do anything, kick the ball away, foul you, and you get penalized, you make a run with the ball, they jump in and fall theatrically and you get penalized, you start asking yourself what do you do, Iwobi had the ball and was moving, they blew, Bruno won the ball in a good area and was about to give a very good, magically he blew throwing, the fans had whistle blowing and confusing our players, had lasers.

Omoh what utter rubbish, Morocco will be disgraced out the World Cup, and op Senegal beats them, they should better learn from us..

They better employ all tricks.

This was no game of football, that was utter rubbish yesterday, it happened against Cameroon I shouted and that was rubbish, the referee controls the game, and if the referee intentionally pushes all decisions to your opponent, you can’t play.

You can say we had 2 shots, but many times our play was thwarted by the whistle, we could not do anything right because the referee did not allow. It was great mentality to even get to penalties.

Morrocco will not beat Senegal

They will foul us as they like no protection no free kick nothing, no be if you fit successfully play you go get shot,,ref allow us nothing.

This is why Nigeria keep getting edged out, we keep undermining off field antics….

Sarsaparilla524:
Nigeria’s semi-final loss to Morocco at AFCON 2025 wasn’t just about penalties—it was a tactical defeat long before the shootout. Morocco dominated the midfield, crowded Lookman and Akor, and snuffed life out of Osimhen at the centre. Our attacks were repeatedly blocked, forcing Nigeria to play containment football while Morocco dictated the pace.

Coach Chelle’s decisions came under scrutiny. Removing Onyedika for a wing forward, Moses Simon late made little sense—Simon did nothing to protect the midfield or revive the attack. Nnadi, a DM in for Onyedika could have taken over to keep Osimhen fresher while maintaining stability in midfield. Game Management 101!

Moses Simon or Chukwueze could have replaced Akor Adams earlier, who struggled and was substituted too late. Bold coaches might even consider moving Lookman when the system isn’t working. These options weren’t utilized, leaving the team unable to shift momentum.
Simon for Onyedika wasn’t it but I don’t think Chelle trust Nnadi in a match of that magnitude.

You’re correct in that Adams and Lookman should have come off earlier for Chuks, Ejuke or Simon. They were ineffective.

you will hear talks like
“why will ref cheat them na”
“we dont deserve this win, the ref was so bias with us”

I am afraid for Senegal. Koulibaly out. Mamadou Sarr of Strasbourg had to step in. Unless they go with Seck but Sarr for KK shows Thiaw's mind.

Also, Habib Diallo out. But Lamine Camara is a strong replacement. I hope he steps up big in the final coz the script has been written already.... it is for Morocco.

I would be the happiest if Senegal manages to tear up that script.

Chelle, for all his good works, may need a good match reader; either he's making too early substitutions or making them late. I observed after the Tunisia game that he was never in a hurry, as before, to make substitutions, which means he's a good listener, but I feel the NFF technical committee needs to work with him more to get a good match reader for him. Okpala Sylvanus was Keshi's match reader when NFF wanted to frustrate him; they simply remove sylvanus, and the rest they say is history grin.

Chelle needs help with reading our games, but an incredible job so far from him
