I'm currently fasting. I'll be on my knees praying. Senegal must win this trophy. By fire by force. I want to see the tears of those moroccoans.
See ehn Ref and CAF will not allow Senegal to play good football against Morroco. They will frustrate Senegal on Sunday.

Do you have a player in your team capable of that?

A player that can provide something magical like a long range shot in the dying minutes of the game?

If Senegal do anyhow, dem go chop red card, kudos to our boys for even keeping their head cool despite the provocations from the ref and the fans. But the Senegal I know is more physical than our guys and cards go flow wella for that game cos Morocco has to win at all costs.

This current team can and should peak by AFCON 27 and 28.

Defense looks solid. Attacking options are there and we seem to have a midfield set up that works, just need to integrate more players.

We really need to win one of those two (if not both) before AFCON reverts to a 4-year cycle and it becomes more difficult to close the gap with the likes of Egypt and Cameroon.
This is exactly my sentiment.

If we don't conspire to self destruct, this team will peak in a beastly mode come 2027 with just a little tweak here and there.

Neutrals insist the Super Eagles are the best team in this tournament just unfortunate that they lost a scripted match.

Interestingly, they seem to mirror the trajectory of the 94 Eagles that we all love so much

Everything started in 1989 when they narrowly lost the World Cup ticket to Cameroon. The following year, they were Afcon finalists .

Two years later, they got the bronze but the signs were already there. By 1994, they had peaked and we all knew they were going to win that tournament.

This team is towing the same path. Final 2 years ago and probably bronze this time, by the next Afcon I believe they would have jellied so much to make them very formidable.

I'm backing Senegal to pull a shocker against all odds!
They have to win for football sake
They have to win

Knowing our football rivalry with Ghana who get uncomfortable with our attempt at equaling their four Afcon titles, it was a real oversight.

Strangely enough, Nigeria likes playing big brother on the continent.
we should have really raised concern on the referee but then we were doing nonchalant and "ghana is our west African brother, the hate is only online" gimmick. These people have always shown that they are against us and we see it in their conduct during even supposed friendly matches but for some reason we always treat the hostility as banter.

Na why Chukwueze suppose collect better slap from Chelle after that shambolic miss. It would've been mad if we won on penalties after all these nonsense from the referee.
I guess they should slap eachother because Samu should have been in the game by the 2nd half.

omo you know history, we got silver in 1990, bronze in 1992, and then won in 1994. If we don't self-destruct like you pointed out, we are surely on our way to Glory. Unfortunately, this Afcon was held in Morocco, we would have won it but God dey! We can't have two APOTYs for nothing; it's supposed to count.

Bro, I agree with you.

Chukwueze 100% deserves the dragging he's getting from Nigerians.

You sef check am, Chukwueze and Bruno missed their PKs. In fact, Bruno's PK was the consequential one that gave the advantage to Morocco to score and win but na Chukwueze Nigerians dey drag.

Why? His "I don't care" body language, lackadaisical attitude and uninterested demeanor when he came up for the kick. That's why some people have called him a saboteur. He was chewing gum and just before he took the kick, he blew a big bubble.

Everything was just off. Chukwueze did not recognize the importance of that moment and him converting the kick. He wasn't locked in. These players gats know that when they dorn the green-white-green, it's serious business and they play not for themselves but for 250 million Nigerians.

Nigerians are not dragging him because he missed the penalty. Anybody can miss a penalty. He is being dragged because that moment required seriousness, determination, focus and he showed none.
It was just cruel to approach the penalty with such casual indifference. I'm tempted to expound on why I think he was so casual but anybody who gives it a thought can come to certain assumptions why he did that. I say assumptions because nobody really knows for sure why he was so casual playing such a crucial penalty against one of the best penalty catchers in the world.

On the international football scene ehn, Nigeria is one of the fairest, cleanest country. We rather be cheated than cheat. Given that we are one of the most corrupt countries in the world, this attitude of ours always shocks me.

But I think it comes from the post independence pan African era where Nigeria was a big brother to many African countries. So we still approach issues on the continent with that same sense of fraternity. Meanwhile others don't mind being petty and unscrupulous. See what SA and Libya did during qualifiers. Nigeria will never descend to such gross levels of pettiness just to secure an advantage.

I don't just know, but I am not really pained by this Morocco defeat. There were certain AFCON Semi-Final loses that affected me psychologically for days, but not this one. undecided

Maybe because of their overall performance since the take-over by Eric Chelle.
FIFA should just give us that play-off slot so we can continue with this build up grin
This coach, with this crop of players fit do the unthinkable at the world cup cheesy

Chelle was figured out in AfCON

You think other world class coaches at the world cup won't figure him out?

Exactly Baba Morocco has to win at all cost, and it becoming a shame. CAF is becoming a stooge for Morocco's football or how do you explain a coach that came third in CAF women champion"s league to be d best women's coach of d year and left out d one dat won AWCON.

Or is there a criteria dey use dat we are not aware off. CAF is a disgrace dis year.

Okay let me not say he acted maliciously (and I have my reason for saying so) but Chukwueze really effed us up.

I saw a video where Chukwueze himself was saying that they have been practicing penalties. Chelle at the post match presser said that he was one of the best at Pks in training. He was brought in specifically to do that job. Fresh mind, fresh leg. He bungled it right at the moment Nwabali gave us the advantage.

All the effort of the team, gone to waste.
Painful.

Look at what the Moroccans were doing to Nwabali. Nigeria would never descend so low. We don't play like that. This is what makes Chukwueze's miss even more painful. Imagine us winning them inspite of all these antics.

Na utobos wey never play organized football before in their lives dey talk rubbish about Chukwueze. You think the boy was nonchalant because of the gum he was chewing or his facial expressions, what if I told you that was his own way of dowsing the tension on him. It just didn't work out, and that's it. The day I missed a PK for my team, I was smiling but I didn't know I was smiling because at that moment I was gobsmacked.

That PK wasn't worse than what SiMoses gave us against DRC.

Not everyone can handle that pressure, Lookman and Osimhen even had to run away.

PK is anybody's game, and not everyone is mentally built to take one. You can be the best PK during training, but the main challenge comes when you have to play it under tension.

Make una rest.

By the way, Zuchyblink I like your write up about him losing concentration especially as he has turned himself to the comedian of the team. My grandpa will always say, it is good to have someone who cracks jokes to entertain others in a group, but never be that person. Today, that is what's affecting Chukwueze, because everyone now sees him as unserious

In our game against Algeria our coach was dynamic make we no lie he had different approaches for that game. The terrible officiating in the semi finals affected whatever approach we brought.

Anyone expecting Senegal to revenge on our bequarter are wasting time. They did all that to Nigeria and na Senegal wey go miss 3 players dem no go do am to?

Just forget, this is the peak KissAs Afcon. Morocco will lift their thing. Infact the wafcon too, the women team will win it too. Complete sweep. Lol

This Egypt game is inconsequential. Let the team B get afcon minutes abeg. The only reason they might want to win Egypt is cos Chelle go need something to put for CV. Else, let Egypt just take 3rd place. We have too many already.
