He tried na. My own House of REP member gave a community of over 4000 voters 10bags of rice and #1,000,000. When shared, each person gove 3 cups of rice with #35. ( 3 cups of rice and 35 Naira.) He can only do constituency projects with money allocated for that. Let's be realistic. These people spent Fortune to get there. We don't expect anything more from them. It's transactional. For the system to conform and for us to hold them accountable, the cost of elections should be so low that someone on minimum wage can vie successfully. Only then do we have the moral justification to point fingers. |
