I am planning to start the express entry process for my family then before the end of the year I would start the student visa application for masters in nursing.

Is this possible?

If yes, I need someone to recommend an affordable school.
Which province should I target?
FYI: I am a registered nurse in the US but still on the student visa.

Please, I am actually not happy going through this process but I just have to do it. I need help guys.

You will receive a Passport Request (PPR) letter in your IRCC account or by email..I can’t remember which one comes first. The letter usually comes quickly, and it will include instructions on how to submit your passport at the VFS office at lekki.

I’m already in the US and I’m on track to graduate from my masters (Mathematics) in May. I have also completed most of my prerequisites and gotten accepted into a 14 Months ABSN program. Some questions I have is how did you pay for nursing school? What nursing program did you do ? ADN/BSN? Would you do it again?

What do you mean when you say you have healthcare assistant training?

(1)What type of training was it? Certificate training ?? Post graduate diploma , Masters ?? PHD??

(2) also after your degree course industrial chemistry what do you currently do for work?

Honestly, Me I am tired with IRCC. I submitted my application on October 14, 2025, completed my biometrics on October 16, and even did my medical examination upfront to avoid any delays. Despite having fulfilled all the requirements promptly and responsibly, I still haven’t received any response or decision from IRCC. The prolonged silence is frustrating and emotionally draining, especially when I’ve done everything expected of me

There’s been a downsizing in govt workforce, a lot of people were laid off as the new PM strategy to reduce cost. The result is less staff to do more job.

As you’re working on your study visa application also try and be looking into pathways to PR because that’s the immigration goal.
Understand how your course of choice, age and career will help you get there.
Start preparing yourself for a job in Canada, E.g
If you’re coming for cybersecurity course. You can start with CC cert from ISC, combine it with Compta A+ and make sure you take your Sec+ the first year you arrive here.
Apply for internship like Mad! Your life depends on it.
Do not get carried away by IRCC and their delays real life awaits.

Please house I just want to begin my application I applied to 3 Canadian schools (colleges). I also work as a logistics manager in my own company. My business iss till very small o not big at all yet.

My educatioal background is this.

OND & HND in Office Technology and Management
MBA will be done around April 2026 but my specialization is Product moion and Operations Management.

The school I applied for all I choose 2 years course and it is logistics and supply chain.

Please how do I start?

I would like to ask whether the student route is advisable and if there are options to move with my family through that route, or whether I should instead consider the permanent residency route via Express Entry or other available pathways. The Proof of Funds (PoF) requirement also seems to be a challenge for me.

Express entry is always the route, search for CRS ranking tool. Put in your details it should generate a score for you then check the last iRcc draw.
You’d probably qualify for FSW and maybe some PNP programs.

With the combination of your degree in Industrial Chemistry and healthcare training, you might want to consider programs in fields like Clinical Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or Toxicology (chemical or environmental). Look out for Post-Graduate Certificates (2 years) or Master's programs that specify they welcome applicants with diverse science backgrounds. Whichever choice you make, please ensure your program is PGWP-eligible if you plan to explore immigration routes after your program.

Regardless of the size of your logistics business, it remains a valuable asset if you can present it effectively to the visa officer. You also made the right decision in targeting 2-year college programs, as that can lead to a 3-year PGWP if your chosen programs are eligible. The next step is to prepare your core application documents, including academic certificates, your SOP, business licenses, proof of funds, and asset documentation. When all of the above is in order, you can proceed to apply for your study permit once you have your Letter of Acceptance and Provincial Attestation Letter.

The first one was denied cause of insufficient funds and he appealed for the second one since January last year . No response till date.

Thank you @Sop writer but here is the issue at some point in 2018 when business started i had some bikes some got spoilt 2 got stolen i have been working from home all this while.

This could give him an edge if you guys decide to apply for Permanent Residence from Nigeria or explore the pathway post-studies.

I have a question to ask.

I received an offer of admission for a post graduate study starting in September 2026. I was requested to pay a deposit within 10 days and my funds will only be available in about two Months. How do I navigate this issue? Can I email the school or what could be done in this regard.
Pls note I wasn't expecting a decision from the School so quick.
