The unity cup is as good as a friendly tournament to warm up our players and try new ones. It’s a simple matter. If we won unity cup and did badly at Afcon who will use unity as a barometer to measure the team? So that’s where am coming from. Even on Chelle cv no one will reckon much with unity cup like the bronze he has won today which is a bigger deal. For Chelle am happy he won bronze so he can shut some of his critics up cos they would have come for him if he didn’t win today but for me am tired of bronze hope you get? Am even more fascinated by the 4 straight clean sheets he had in the past four games than the bronze itself. And in this Afcon he didn’t lose any game in regulation time, stuffs like that are more important to me.
You talk of the Unity Cup like it's the most useless tournament on Earth 😏

Like we no even suppose participate 😏 everywhere good sha. I understand you. I sha like that cup 😏

I can't understand how Ajayi who I considered at best a squad player now rose up to be counted in this AFCON. Especially that we weren't defensive in this one like the last one Ekong won
Be like Ajayi use something for this Afcon o 😂 the boy dazzle me finish

Is it truth that Morocco is rank 8th in the world.
Yes and have the possiblity to enter 7th if they win the AFCON.

3 Titles, 5 Silver, 9 Bronze.

17 Afcon Medals in Afcon History.

Abeg abeg abeg Medal 18 must be Gold in 2027. We are coming.

History will repeat itself.

Golden Generation (90s):

1990 - Final (Lost to Host)

1992 - Semis (Bronze)

Now, Current Generation:

2023 - Final (Lost to Host)

First touch don't mean sheet
Osimheen will get you goals and that's all that matters
See how isak and gyokores are struggling despite 1st touch lol
Can you guys put some respect on that guy's name
This is very disrespectful to a generational talent
In the streets boys go beat you o
Ajeh 😂

Them get 1st touch and finesse seff. Make them dey play.

Osimhen without 1st touch has 6 goals in 4 UCL games, the best goal per game ratio in the UCL at the moment. Make them dey disrespect am dey go.

Eric Chelle's use of Raphael Onyedika and FDB reveal defects in his understanding of his players.
They are not the bests in the positions he has been utilising them.

These guys have consistently shown how poor they are in defensive duels.
FDB hasn't won any defensive duel in all the matches he started. He kept losing them all.

Raphael Onyedika's numbers are also very poor for a DM, especially in the matches he started.

After 7 matches (90/120 minutes) Chelle won 5 and drew 2.
Scored 14 and conceded only three
His team did not concede all through the knockout stage.
Conceded 4*

Only two from open play.

On Eric Chelle, I am not convinced.

Say all you want.

He is a good coach, but he is not yet there.
With all the quality at his call, very good coaches have actually shown their tactical superority over him.

Eric Chelle is a good coach but lacks sufficient depth.
Depth will come with experience and the willingness to learn.
Anyways he is still young with a lot of promise.
he's just 3 years into his coaching career, cut him some slacks

what will be our new fifa ranking now after playing 0-0 with Egypt
Calculations done.

We go from 27th to 26th. We won on PKs.

If we won in regulation time, we for enter 24th. We are now the new third in Africa 😊🇳🇬

Make that DR Congo case favour us make we go shutdown World Cup then enter 2nd in Africa.

Thank you
Let him stay on
The quality will come to the fore
He should grow in the manner he utilises his players.
He should grow in his understanding of different setups and tactics.
The moroccan coach has shown different approaches In the manner he utilises his players.

The moroccan coach studies his opposition, and like a master tactician tweaks his tactics to win.
We have seen this over and over in this tourney.
This cannot be said of Eric Chelle.

Osimhen is close to world class but he is not. He is not great with his legs. Check all the naija trained players at this Afcon, how many of them have good 1st touch? It is the innit boys that are assured in possession. Chukwueze is about the most technical Naija trained player and I still see some poor touches from him.

Osihmen could not help with gameplay against Maroc cuz of his poor 1st touch which overworked Akor. Iwobi gave him a ball in the box that he could not control in the Maroc game. Haaland could probably do better with it.
Osihmen is world class, not close to world class.

The NFF is not ready to invest in Grade A coaches.
