Can Senegal Overcome this trend come sunday? 🇸🇳Senegal has failed to win any of its five knockout matches against the host nation at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon): 1990 - Algeria 2-1 Senegal (semi-final) 2000 - Nigeria 2-1 Senegal (quarter-final) 2004 - Tunisia 1-0 Senegal (quarter-final) 2006 - Egypt 2-1 Senegal (semi-final) 2024 - Ivory Coast 1-1 (5-4 on penalties) Senegal (round of 16) 2025 - Morocco v Senegal (Final) ?? ❓️❔️❓️ |

Before Afcon 2025, the 2 previous times Nigeria lost on penalty shootouts was to the Afcon tournament winners. 🇳🇬 v Cameroon (tournament winners) in the 2000 final. 🇳🇬 v Tunisia (tournament winners) in the 2004 semi-final. At Afcon 2025, we lost only our 3rd P.S.O vs Morocco before defeating Egypt on P.S.O in 3rd place to take our Afcon Penalty shootout success record to 7/10. TheSuperNerd: |

Odunayaw:Even the Moroccan coach did not outcoach Chelle. Let them meet on a neutral turf. Did you see what verydarkman said about the crowd? |

"Wait until we get to neutral ground". There's no such thing. This is the mainstay whenever the host nation has a decent team. Find a way to win, or get booted out. A stadium routinely fills up with host fans, sometimes quite hostile. I have no idea how appealing to a non-expert helps you. This is not even new. The Moroccan team shut down our offense and home boy had no answer. This is when you separate yourself from the bunch. It's been just a year, and perhaps there's no need to be overly critical of the man. For a similar reason there's no reason to think he's a tactical master either. The jury is still out on your man, and we'll see what stuff he's made of as his managing stint unfolds. Mujtahida: |

Meliforme:You are the chairperson of an adhoc committee designated by the NFF to appoint a Grade A coach for the Super Eagles. The remuneration of the coach is pegged at $50,000. Kindly recommend your top three candidates for the job. |

So what was the reason for keeping Akin away from serie A matches that will help him grow if we had no plan of giving him even a single minute in the AFCON? |

BankyGee:letting Chelle slip off our fingers will take the team back to level 0 and also one big mistake the NFF will regret |
