So what was the reason for keeping Akin away from serie A matches that will help him grow if we had no plan of giving him even a single minute in the AFCON?
Nna he isn’t better than those he met in the team

I bet you that if he was Chelle won’t shy away from giving him a chance

He is still young and should continue developing his game by seeing more playing time in Italy

You don dey shout am since Chelle first game and this is like his 20th game you still never dey convinced o. Alrightiiiooo

I would have preferred they left him out to continue his growth in Italy. Also, a few minutes in our last group game wouldn't hurt.

This Egyptian goalie thought he's Emiliano Martinez. 🤣🤣🤣

Kai semid,we Sabi ourselves here and our reasonings so sometimes it would be difficult for a newcomer here to understand reasons for some comments... don't be surprised everything is down to a player not getting enough playing time under the coach.
Elder, pls talk am straight and no dey pass through the corners.

After that nonsense Ejuke played when he came in against Tunisia, he deserved to chop bench for the rest of the tournament.

The Egyptian coach made good use of the quality that is available to him.

He took our team to penalties.
😆😂 I like how you worded it yet can't see you're destroying your point.

The fact you're saying He took our team already shows you know they were the lesser team

That’s why I can never support or agree with those who bash paseiro! Their contradictory conclusions is too much.

We hail Morocco now as the current model of African football but na haram football they use to achieve such status!
😆 Na why I like Joe, most consistent in his beliefs no matter how lofty and impractical it is

Even the Moroccan coach did not outcoach Chelle. Let them meet on a neutral turf. Did you see what verydarkman said about the crowd?
Till now I'm yet to understand why of all things Nigeria chose football to be saintly

The nonsense they did with Nwabali's towel en. Make dem just put us for the next AfconQ group

😆 What is this
Moniter0:
behold, the least you can do is appreciate that the ball went in, full stop.
Since you've decided to be thick let me use simpler words.

Outcomes isn't a yardstick for how intentional or nonchalant a penalty kick is.

Iwobi's body language was jittery, his pk was poor but he scored. Accusers of Chukwueze only care about the outcome really.

"Wait until we get to neutral ground". There's no such thing. This is the mainstay whenever the host nation has a decent team. Find a way to win, or get booted out. A stadium routinely fills up with host fans, sometimes quite hostile. I have no idea how appealing to a non-expert helps you. This is not even new. The Moroccan team shut down our offense and home boy had no answer. This is when you separate yourself from the bunch. It's been just a year, and perhaps there's no need to be overly critical of the man. For a similar reason there's no reason to think he's a tactical master either. The jury is still out on your man, and we'll see what stuff he's made of as his managing stint unfolds.

Exactamente. Many countries now just dey wait to hear HERE WE GO, NFF sacks Éric Chelle, the way them go rush am ehn.

Omo the chemistry in this team is on a high now and Éric Chelle's scouting abilities are topnotch. He'll improve this team more before next year seff.

Dear Lord, grant victory to Senegal today.
Me I want Morocco to cheat them too and win o, no be my head the cheating suppose end 😭

Some no-football-knowledged fans go come use the Senegal win start dey talk down on Super Eagles, forgetting how the cheating disrupted our game plan.

The only thing that'll make me support Senegal winning, na if they win on penalties.

Make he come observe how tournament atmosphere look like. Na psychological preparation for when he go get him chance, he no go use am play. Ask Bruno Onyemaechi, even though Peseiro was very wrong to keep him on the bench all through the last AFCON, now wey he get chance he hold am with four hands.

No be everything gats be physical, some na mental.

I no even vex for am for the Tunisia match. It was just one or two that didn't go well that day.

And someone is saying Chelle should be sacked. Omo anybody can chop bench till eternity under this man or not even get called up again, ask that guy wey him headers dey always go up.

Under previous coaches, you can predict call up list and complete starting XI no matter the rubbish wey the player play. If Chukwueze can chop bench most times now, why Ejuke no go buy seat belt for him own bench?

All is to bring out the best in all of them sha.

Now my question is, why didn’t we use these same guys against Morocco for the Pks?
Ademola Lookman
Akor Adams
Alex Iwobi.
These guys are actually good Pk takers Btw!!
Omo I asked the same thing.

But to be honest, just because a PK goes in doesn’t mean it’s good. Iwobi’s PK could easily have been saved had the keeper gone the right way.

A good PK is one a keeper has no chance of saving. High and into the top corner.

I swear this game and result for sweet had it been na for group stages or qualifying we play Morocco and it ended that way.

But in knockouts one person must go. 🤧

On Eric Chelle, I am not convinced.

Say all you want.

He is a good coach, but he is not yet there.
With all the quality at his call, very good coaches have actually shown their tactical superority over him.

Eric Chelle is a good coach but lacks sufficient depth.
Depth will come with experience and the willingness to learn.
Anyways he is still young with a lot of promise.
Some of his in-game management/reading of the game needs work but the performances and results have improved.

He should stay on through the next two AFCONs and WCQ cycle.

I can't understand how Ajayi who I considered at best a squad player now rose up to be counted in this AFCON. Especially that we weren't defensive in this one like the last one Ekong won
Tournament football is different from league ball.

You only have to perform for 6-7 games at a high level vs over 34-38 games.

This is why I think Nwabali should remain out no. 1

The keeper role is also to beat the player technique too. So anything is possible.
Baba penalty na game of luck, if you are lucky to follow the ball’s directions, you will 95% likely save it, especially the grass ball penalties

Today's Pens were also poor. Only Lookman and the last Egyptian played good penalties
Same thing I said. Those PKs were saveable just that the keeper went the wrong way.

A good penalty is one hit with power and direction. If well hit, the keeper can’t save it.
