Mujtahida:Loll, "because we expected him to win" Pray tell, how many shots did we have. How many on target? These are indices we can't ignore Leave sentiments and say the truth Who were our best players that day - our acts and our GK. This should be a big pointer |

A slim win for either side in regular time or penalties. We all know CAF wants to compensate Morocco. The officiating will favor Morocco. Senegal must be mentally tougher to pull through. |

Papi85:I guess so because nothing suggests he's Nigerian except the name Ugo. There is this other WB in that Levante team, that should be assessed too, Kazeem Babatunde. |

Odunayaw:he sent the keeper the wrong way, is that what Chukwueze did? Or don't you know that a good penalty kick can also be characterized with placing the ball away from the path of the goalkeeper? Panenka penalty kicks are played in a cheeky way but that doesn't mean they don't end up in the back of the net. |

SymphonyRad:Most of them will demand your full squad and regulars as a condition for the friendly match. The Russians we played the other day were not happy not seeing osihmen play so some of these desired friendlies may not give us enough opportunities to try new players like we are thinking maybe as subs during the games may suffice |

Hardrive:Are you actually sure people don't understand? Because right from time even before Éric Chelle, the Super Eagles always play better in the second halves of games, and under Éric Chelle it's now almost balanced, we are always on top of our game for the whole match. Even Egypt we played yesterday, the second half was better than the first, we had more possession and Egypt didn't get a shot on target. We just had two goals disallowed, of which the first had no business being disallowed in the first place. Of our 14 goals scored in this tournament, 9 came in the second half, so what are you saying my lord? |

Blueelf:You say outclassed. At the last world cup, Morocco came out as the team with the lowest possession yet they won up till the semi. Would you agree that they were outclassed in the matches that they won up till the semi in spite of the stats favoring the other side? I watch SE with clear eyes. Morocco did not outclass us. I know when we play, badly and when we don't. |

Meliforme:Quality oo, quantity ooo, anyhow you put am, if you like make the quality of the opposition be like Barca or Messi, Madrid of CR7, Ajax or Eric and Co The kuku is how much can you contribute to pay the Quality Coach that will suprass, Jose and Pep join together |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by SymphonyRad: 11:23am On Jan 18 |
Goke7:Yeah, but 3-5 new players shouldn't be an issue for any top team that wants us to face our full strength squad, 80% of the players to prosecute the friendly games would be the same established players with the exclusion of Moses Simon who offers nothing at this point. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 11:23am On Jan 18 |
Kog45:That's a big fat lie. Our best 3 are Nwabali, Okoye, Uzoho/Okonkwo. Leaving Okoye out of the AFCON squad was justifiable as it will benefit both the player and the national team at the long run. It would be so callous and disheartening to keep him further away from action after being away from action for weeks due to suspension, as that would further make him rusty and even put his position in his club at huge risk. I can't spend weeks away, and still choose the option to sit on the bench for more weeks rather than the other option that guarantees testing action. I can't do myself or career such disservice. At the end, wasn't it a win-win situation? Our team did well, and our second choice goalkeeper also used his clubside to get back to shape during same period. All you fans want is just to be made happy. You guys never understand these players are humans too and they have their careers to protect also. |

BREAKING: Ademola Lookman’s agent has contacted Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City and Aston Villa over a potential return to the Premier League. All five clubs have declined the approach, leaving Inter and Atlético Madrid as the main options in the race. West Ham are also exploring a possible move, with talks expected soon. 👀⏳ [@topskillsportuk] |

ChrisKels:If we had qualified for the World Cup will okoye had made such demands? The optics weren’t good especially after a disappointing wcq series. It’s looking like okoye’s mind was on the World Cup than Afcon. For me I respect his decision but it shouldn’t be used as an excuse to justify him. Was it Chelle or Ndidi who said something like this team we win together and also sink together. We were all mad here when we heard rumours whether true or not of osihmen was threatening to leave the camp in the wake of the spat with Lookman and funny enough okoye would have had his chance in this Afcon in the game against Uganda and probably the 3rd place match, this is where okoye would have made his demands to be number 1 instead of shying away completely from the tournament. If we all agree that the team is bigger than players like osihmen we shouldn’t be making excuses for other players as well. Just look at how players like osayi, Bruno, Ajayi has taken their chances, it would have been okoye as well. He’s the one making Nwabali more indispensable! |

Amedino99:I see it as an important development for the boy. There is a confidence he will have going back to Italy having played around people like Osimhen, Iwobi, Bassey Moreover, this is a way to keep his name in the mind of the coach. |

Goke7:Did Okoye withdraw because he isn't the first choice, or did he withdraw because he was out for too long and needed constant run of games to get back to shape? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 12:49pm On Jan 18 |
ChrisKels:Stop the excuse please, which one is being out for too long? Is it not how far a country goes in Afcon that will determine how long they will be unavailable for their clubs? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 1:06pm On Jan 18 |
Goke7:This response shows you have no clue why Okoye was excused. He was inactive for long due to a ban. Dude was out for about 3 months and you wanted him to extend it to 4 months? |

ChrisKels:I will go back to my first question if we had qualified for the World Cup will all these excuses suffice? I rest my case! |
