It's a 2-in-1 thing. His in-game subs alongside his player profiling to suit the exact tactical sub needs at any given moment.

So this 2-in-1 issue for me definitely suggests he still needs work on his game reading even though I have seen improvements compared to when he first began. But it is not eureka just yet.

But on improving players to suit roles... Chelle gets an A. Did it with Ndidi. Did it with Osayi. And much more.
Well said, tournament football has given him enough time to implement his ideas and understand his players more, but games against congo and recently morroco showed that he still lacks the ability to tactically alter his gameplan when plan A is not working..
I believe moving forward he'd do better in that aspect, hopefully the NFF chieftains retain him

This one no follow jare. Nothing concern interview concern performance.
I like to call out some of this things because doing so kinda nullifies the potency. Like they said "a problem known is a problem solved". smiley

We have enough strikers. It's left for the coach to understand their kind of play.
Onachu thrives most inside 18yrd box. You need a strong midfield to keep pushing the ball to him. Any lose ball that gets to his feet is a goal.
Osimhen on the other hand is long ball type of striker who thrives mostly with "on the run" types of pass.
All these strikers are good. It depends on the coach to know what formation to use and play them. This is were a Technical Adviser is needed to be employed by NFF to help Chelle.
NFF employ Technical adviser to help Chelle? Una dey talk sha

I'm sorry to say this but i think you overthink. A lot of players have said something similar but still went ahead to achieve bigger things. You actually tool their interviews out of context.

Just curious, what would you have said if you're in their shoes?
whether this is overthinking or not, and lets say what I stated is not anything to go by, at least I'm not asking too much for them to eschew and circumvent ill-speaking of themselves.

Bro, maka go even download this video use am do side-by-side compilation with the one wey that lady dey almost cry praise am two days ago

One good thing about Éric Chelle is his temperament, especially in press conferences. I watched this press conference completely at the last AFCON, the journalists wan chop am, he said he takes all the blame and he's sorry he let the country down.

This one talk wey that werey tell am fit be wetin dey always ring for him head steady and dey push am to do more, which is more reason I NEED him to succeed with Nigeria's squad, he's a good man.

All their new coach taught them is how to collect red cards, 7 games, 3 red cards, no wins, draws full everywhere and quarterfinal elimination. Stupid from a nation that Éric Chelle coached to play good football last AFCON and even used to beat Nigeria in a friendly.

NFF please help me organize another friendly with Mali, I use God beg una 🙏🏾
Work rate 💯😁

Comot there with that new age idea sugarcoated with Bible
you can experiment the potency of your words by yourself and observe.
For example, plant anything that grows in your backyard and pronounce death to one of the plants every morning while pronouncing life to the other plant for let's say 30 days and note how both are fairing.

Is it not interesting how the tragedy of losing still came out beautifully.

Akor also purchased goodwill by his celebration after he scored that delicious goal
And we whoop those Algerians that mocked him. They should just go and confess to FIFA as a thank you gift for us. Kojubelo

Our midfield got choked and we couldnt get into the game.

This is where I think Chelle can learn a bit more. We could have modified our formation for more wing play and taken off one of the strikers for an additional midfielder
One thing I agree with (the 94 set) is that we have to be well versed in wing play.

Why? We have the personnel for it. It doesn't mean it should be pur main tactic but it could be a good plan B or C

AGuys like Ejuke shouldn't just be wasting on the bench godamnit

I'm not religious but I pray the universe shines on Eric Chelle and shows him favour and grace. For his sake, I pray the DR Congo case goes through successfully. Making it to the World Cup would be the biggest middle finger to those ungrateful Malian journalists.

As in

But you see Greeks are very racist.

Bruno has to be tactical about it before they label him "stubborn" like Osimhen

His day will come

Many people are not talking about the performance of Igoh Ogbu in the game against Egypt yesterday.

This guy is a solid player anytime and any day, he made us not miss the greatest Premier League centre-back, Calvin Bassey. He is comfortable on the ball and also almost as strong as Bassey if not on par.

Moving forward, I think we'll be seeing him and Bassey pair at CB and it'll be crazy! There's a super Benjamin Fredrick too in our defence! The Super Eagles defence line is covered for years and is the strongest on the African continent. Thank you Éric Chelle for discovering these players!

Very true the competition in our defence is now fierce no one I repeat no one can just stroll into the lineup without giving an 100 percent. Kudos to Ogbu that was a solid performance

Pushing Morocco 🇲🇦 to penalties considering d bias officiating, it might end up in 2-0 in Favor of Morocco

Those guys are rugged and tough and they know what to expect from Morocco

I would never bet against Senegal. Those boys know how to get the results by any means necessary. These guys came from behind to knack DR Congo 3-2 in their own backyard. The same physical, hyper aggressive, coconut head DR Congo that fried us in the WC playoffs. They don't feel pressure. They just play their game and their football speaks for itself.

But then again, if the referee of the game is half as shamelessly corrupt as Daniel Laryea, it could be a long night for them. I could be wrong saying this, but in my observation of Senegal, their defense can get shaky at times and can concede when you least expect. They've never really faced any team willing to punish their defense in this AFCON. Only one I can think of is DR Congo. Egypt shamelessly played them haramball in the semis.
