Those same items in 2013 would have cost about 9,000 Naira.

Minimum wage in 2013 was 30k
Don't be unfortunate

Obidients warned you all but you refused to listen and kept shouting on his manhood we shall stand. Some even tell us that this administration will favour them and their families .

Today they are all gnashing and singing a different song.

Immediately Tinubu rigged the election , I noticed that my people suddenly changed with the system.

They sat tight and decided to live a more simpler life..

They met and decided that our brothers outside the country will help by bringing more people to join them and many of them do send in money on monthly basis.

There is no home in the South East that lacked food this Xmas.

They thought they are doing the obidients but ended up shooting themselves at the foot
Good one 👍

This is as a result of inflation. You can also compare prices in 2005 with prices in 2013.
Use your real account.

Is PDP not in charge in 2005 and 2013?

We warned them not to bring APC into the government, but they did not listen

If 25k in 2020 is worth 147k today
That means 1 million naira today is around 170k of 2020. It's already close to worthless

ibrocool:
Oh My Gosh, that's over inflation. The rate at which Naira losses value is alarming. Very soon, one million naira will be worthless.

And you think honestly think Obi could have done better?

Didn't Obi say he was going to remove fuel subsidy? Did he not promise to unify exchange rates?

It is these very policies that Tinubu implemented that are causes the most pain, but they were necessary.

Charles Soludo and Okonji-Iweala, eminent economists have both praised his economic policies.

The real edge Tinubu has over Obi was that he was able to achieve the two

Peter could have unified the exchange rates but I doubt if he would have succeeded with the scrapping of fuel subsidies. He may not have the backbone to remove it.

In actuality, the increase from ₦25,225 to ₦147,050 is about 483%, not 582%, but either way, it shows that prices have increased five or six times over the course of six years. We are unable to verify whether this is the same store, whether the items and quantities are the same, or whether the pricing policies are similar. Real economic factors are that Nigeria's severe devaluation of the naira (from ₦380 to ₦1,500+/USD), the removal of fuel subsidies in 2023, high inflation, and higher import costs all contributed to a significant increase in the cost of these goods.

Nigeria is currently grappling with an inflation crisis, largely due to the devaluation of the naira, the removal of fuel subsidies, and a heavy reliance on imports. While ongoing reforms in sectors like power, rail, agriculture foreign direct investment, and the Dangote Refinery and other smaller ones including those planned aim to tackle these fundamental issues, they require time to take effect. In the short term, we need to prioritize fast-tracking the construction of farm-to-market roads, speeding up port clearances, directly distributing fertilizer to farmers, implementing mobile and prepaid metering for better power accountability, and immediately expanding rail freight services. These measures can provide some relief without falling into the trap of subsidy misuse, while we wait for the long-term projects to bear fruit.

I’m making a comparison of “PDP destructive era” to “APC progressive era”.

Tinubu called PDP Poverty Development Party when he was in opposition.

And his shameless supporters are all over nairaland defending the most incompetent president in the history of the country.
How can anyone defend this?
This is the reason why i get so much angry with them whenever they come up with how Tinubu is transforming Nigeria, some saying he is performing excellently.

And i now ask them to name the things he is performing, they will go mute and come up with how Peter Obi will never be president of Nigeria bla bla bla.

All this plenty talk still won’t make any difference, Nigeria have been defeated without a single shot, never in the history of this country have we experienced the number of nonchalant and unpatriotic people, It’s a damn shame.

Leave those hh0ngry laptop boys. They will be paid 30k on the 28th of February. The guy who handles their salary is my man, from Ikotun.

From the 30k, FG will collect 5k as tax.

I saw one of these boys begging for house rent last December. The way I shunned him, he never expected it.

Most of them can't feed, but they stand on one uus£1€$s mandate.
I thought you were against us who doesn't like apc government before.

How come now huh
