sometimes some decision needs drastic action , if SE has protested at bad officiating during the match ...it would have been sweet advantage

You mean those chickens with no liver?
I fault Sadio Mane for allowing the game to continue irrespective of the penalty outcome. The corruption going on in this organization need to be exposed!

Rubbish officiating in AFCON. It baffles me how NPFL refs aren't in this tournament.
We Nigerians are the ones castigating ourselves before the world the countries we think are saints are more corrupt

How do you explain a whole Ghana rolling out the carpet to welcome a corrupt referee!

That's what I thought until I saw his face after.

He was holding back tears.

I don't understand how people suggest that was an intentional miss. It makes no sense to miss a penalty at the 97th minute and deny yourself the chance to win the trophy, just so you can be maybe seen to be fair. That would be the dumbest thing they can do. If Senegal refused to continue, they would be punished. It is in their best interest to finish the game after registering their protest.

You people like to argue and argue for no reason. Where you see a professional goalkeeper catching a penalty with TWO HANDS WHILE STANDING?
Not diving or punching off the ball?

I laugh at those who said Diaz intentionally missed that penalty..

North Africans have never been known to play fair..

I remember our 2017 AFCON qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna ..in the final minutes, one of our players went down injured while Egypt were on possession....after he received treatment, the referee gave the ball to the Egyptians and they were supposed to kick it our for a throw in as per fair play...instead they launched a counter attack that caught us unaware and scored ... That goal denied us an AFCON spot (alongside Chad decision to withdraw)

If the Senegalese had not protested and the penalty had been played immediately Morocco will be lifting the cup by now.

I know the Senegalese may be punished but they are true warriors and heroes. I just love them dem no look anybody face 😂 kudos to the coach na man e be!

I told someone that we lack the players to make magic happen against teams like Morocco

Chelle good but we just don't have Senegal midfield.

Thanks God you guys are seeing your mates beat Morocco in extra time. Something vhelle and your overrated players (bar bassey and osimhen) couldn't do

Commentator: the miss by Diaz doesn't mean he is not world class, he has proven himself over and over again.
Meanwhile if it was Osimhen that missed some people here will say he is not world class forgetting his previous achievements grin grin

Learn good refreeing Africans mahn, you just cancelled a good goal and went to give a penalty in the last minute for a very soft touch

That was bad refree, use your discretion wisely

Lol... enjoy it jare. Ndala's ojoro was sure to manifest later. His initial ref "fairness" was definitely a disguise. It would be foolish to let it manifest so obviously early in a final. Lol... The Moroccans and CAF overlords will have his head if Senegal manages to win this.

How does a referee make such a silly decision in such a crucial game such as an AFCON final, a continental competition. Africans will now have the nerve to get angry at Jamie Carragher for saying the competition isn't significant. Can't even make simple decisions
