Bannedlargejr:How long have you been watching football again? Because you should have realized that mendy caught the ball and it wasn’t punched out so the ball is still in play. 6-8 seconds rule apply, every player has to go back in position on time so the keeper can make the pass to avoid conceding a needless corner kick.. Also, didn’t u see Mendy himself look to the sky to thank God for the save? Then immediately looking to offload the ball?

The Super Eagles after dominating the Algerians stood to fight them when the Algerians were doing anyhow. Osimhen stood his ground against the Tunisian coach saying crap before he scored. Why would the Super Eagles walk away against Morocco when they stood their ground on the pitch by not conceding a stvpid penalty. Great minds will appreciate the Super Eagles for taking the game to penalties despite the referees shenanigans. The only team that could have defeated the Moroccans simply through football rather than being a cry baby. England goal was canceled against Germany and was subsequently eliminated but they took it like a man. It is football and conduct matters a lot! We the enlightened mind appreciate you "Our darling Super Eagles" for the way you conduct yourself throughout the tourney. Nobody defeated you throughout the tournament. Penalties is a game of luck! |

zuchyblink:The attraction to play for Nigeria is not there. Please, list 5 reasons why a foreign born player should choose Nigeria ahead of his adopted country or even his clubside. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Bossoflife25: 5:01pm On Jan 19 |
It is not like they like Senegal. It simply because of France's assimilation policy that allows most French born Africans pathway to French citizenship. Simply put! Future with France is not guaranteed! Player plenty! Unlike England which does not really produce quality players. Also, those players you listed are not better than what we currently have! If we decide to pursue them only Kayode and Nwaneri will be difficult. We are not attractive but our defence are almost foreign born. zuchyblink: |

Getting reports that the Moroccan people are harassing Africans at the airport. You can imagine what would have happened to the Nigerian fans, if Nigeria had defeated them. |

So Morocco is being very hostile to other African nationals, including Egyptians, by shifting and canceling their flights and asking them to apply for refunds, refunds they do not even know when will be processed. They switched off the airport WiFi and deployed military and police officers with guns drawn inside the airport. What kind of attitude is this? Who told them that hosting a tournament means they have already won it? Our people were even forced to present their Nigerian passports just to confirm they were not Senegalese. |

This is shameful coming from the CAF president even if it’s true does this mean Morocco must win at all cost? https://saharareporters.com/2026/01/19/caf-says-morocco-favourite-competitions-other-countries-claim-they-lack-resources-host |

This is why I was disappointed when some of you hailed Morrocco in the least world cup. Heck, when they made semis, they didn't even dub themselves as the first 'African' team. Their players thanked the Arab world and only thanked Africa when social media forced them too. When will some of you wake up? |

FiveFootNinja:On a serious note, Senegal should be punished by CAF at least. The whole world was watching, kids just starting their football journey were watching. It is a bad precedent that must be addressed with the seriousness it deserves. A strong deterrent has to be sent. |

Sarsaparilla524:Realistically, we've always been top 3 skill and talent wise for the past 5-6 years. Even this AFCON, we were looking like the best team hands down at certain moments of the tournament with only Senegal looking as good. CHAN and the poor World Cup qualifiers did us dirty at the FIFA rankings. Thank God they've scrapped that useless CHAN, make we know wetin we dey talk. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 6:54pm On Jan 19 |
But why the unnecessary refereeing at afcon? -Why will a Tanzanian striker be brought down heavily by a Moroccan in the box that way without a card/penalty and everyone should be fine with it? -Why will an Egyptian handle a ball in the box 18 and no penalty was awarded to SA ? -Imagine the reckless tackle on Mbeumo in the box 18 and they say its nothing close to penalty -How can Bassey be dragged on the jersey and still got a yellow card to miss the next match -How can a Senegalese goal move b canceled because of one yeye 50-50 challenge -Why the unnecessary towel brouhaha -Why will a Ghanaian b officiating 9ja match and vice versa, why will a North African rival b officiating a match his country’s arch rival is playing? And these people want Afcon to run in peace?…they are joking, if they dont curb all this nonsense bias, afcon go dey destroy dey go small small |

It's just sad Morocco have become this arrogant bunch of "I must win because I host" pathetics in international football. Back when I began fanning moroccan football, it was because they had the players and talents that drew me close and I always loved their colors. The Hadjis, the Naybets, the Chamakhs. In 2004, when they beat us through Youssouf Hadji's goal, they beat us clean and I recall 3 of our Super Eagles had to be sent home after that first game loss due to acts of indiscipline. Yakubu and 2 others. At 2022, ofcos they played haram ball but I supported them due to years of always following their football but as from last week wednesday, I renounced my support for Morocco. I cannot keep supporting a football nation who seeks to win via underhand and dark boardroom tactics. The most annoying part in all these is Morocco has a strong NT. They have good players even World Class like Hakimi. But when you are that good and still don't believe that you can prove you are the best on the pitch fairly, then your NT lacks spine and honor. They lack class. So again, in this light, I officially renounce my fandom for Moroccan football. Cant be associated with the football terrorists of Africa. Ppogbae: |
