ChrisKels:
The Senegalese squad is so good that their bench is as strong as their starting eleven. There is never a drop in class whenever substitutions are made.

They lost Koulibali, Diarra and Diatta yet no one noticed.

Imagine losing Bassey, Iwobi and Lookman. angry

We need to improve our team, seriously.
This should be the next phase of Chelle's plan. Now we have a football identity. We have our play. Next thing is to build a formidable squad. I don't want us to even have a first 11. We should have a first 22.

The officiating was good except whenever it involves Morocco na. No bi deliberate bi Dat? grin

See better goal Senegal score, you rush cancel am yet refuse to check VAR. Pin happen for penalty box, you rush see VAR. Pin penalty!!!

That wan fit craze person oooo. grin

Maybe Dat is why Senegalese players and fans Kolo yesterday. grin
Tanzania got a penalty shout right towards the end of that second round game against Morocco and it was ignored even var no bother to check.

It was all a script that cancelled goal by Senegal was the height of the disgrace. Do you know there was even an offside incident against the Moroccans just right before that awarded penalty that was also ignored? Honestly it’s a big disgrace. CAF just damaged the career of all the refs they used to do their dirty work for Morocco am sure if any of those refs are appointed for any game going forward teams or countries are going to reject them outright before the game!

Ghana and South Africa in the doldrums as usual.

Thank God there is no more CHAN to tank our ratings. We should only go higher from here.

Nigeria ranking higher than CIV who won Afcon in 2023 says a lot about our performance also putting into consideration that we didn’t qualify for the World Cup. Bravo to the super eagles it’s not doom after all. Credit to to the boys and the coaches
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
Backline is sorted.

Nigeria can comfortably line up 2 different back fours now.

In midfield, we need to get the backup profiles sorted. Iwobi's backup still not sorted. Onyeka's too. Even Ndidi's as Onyedika should not be the one and only fallback option in Ndidi's absence as he still matures.

More Midfield options to consider specifically for the diamond setup are Akinsanmiro for Iwobi's role, David Moses of Slavia Prague for Onyeka's role, Nnadi and Dennis for Ndidi's role, and much more options touching all the midfield roles in the diamond.

In attack... Lookman needs a solid backup. The 4312/442 diamond sees Lookman sit in the hole behind the strikers but also has the license to roam across the entire final third seeing him pop up dangerously across in gaps centrally, in the halfspaces or wingwards.
Who steps into this role when Lookman sits it out for even one game? Chukwueze is an option but we need more.

The 2 man attack.. Osimhen and Akor... We need 4 solid options aside Victor and Adams. Badass options. CF combos that sync nicely and can possibly sync with the main man Victor.

The Project Solid 22 is on.

Morocco just achieved the 2nd highest ever rank for an African team! They’re dangerously coming close to the 5th position that was achieved by our Super Eagles back in 1994 🙆🏽‍♂️

I didn't believe my eyes when that goal was canceled.

I don't know if CAF has a hand in this. All I will say is the officiating was disastrous whenever it involves Morocco.

The Atlas Lions are guaranteed to carry the baggage of this AFCON around for a while. Unfavorable refereeing decisions against them will be seen as retribution.

Algeria for me were the best Mahgreb team at AFCON despite their loss to the SE.

Morocco winning the fair play award is the most absurd takeaway from the AFCON.

It's just sad Morocco have become this arrogant bunch of "I must win because I host" pathetics in international football. Back when I began fanning moroccan football, it was because they had the players and talents that drew me close and I always loved their colors. The Hadjis, the Naybets, the Chamakhs. In 2004, when they beat us through Youssouf Hadji's goal, they beat us clean and I recall 3 of our Super Eagles had to be sent home after that first game loss due to acts of indiscipline. Yakubu and 2 others.

At 2022, ofcos they played haram ball but I supported them due to years of always following their football but as from last week wednesday, I renounced my support for Morocco.
I cannot keep supporting a football nation who seeks to win via underhand and dark boardroom tactics.

The most annoying part in all these is Morocco has a strong NT. They have good players even World Class like Hakimi. But when you are that good and still don't believe that you can prove you are the best on the pitch fairly, then your NT lacks spine and honor. They lack class.

So again, in this light, I officially renounce my fandom for Moroccan football. Cant be associated with the football terrorists of Africa.
It is truly disappointing good sir. I sincerely admired Regragui and his coaching. It is unfortunate that we cannot divorce sport from the ills of mankind. Football should be an escape, free from all of the ills of this world.

They hate each other but they are worse than each other, infact Morocco is the least racist of the North African nations, imagine these shenanigans happening in Egypt we would have been talking of real violence by now

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:54pm On Jan 19
Technically, the fairplay award is awarded to the team with the least cautions in a tournament.
Maroc had the lowest number of yellows among teams that went all the way to the semis. Ofcos lesser yellows helped especially by the corrupt refs who refused to card them vs Nigeria (zero yellow), Tanzania (1 yellow only), vs Cameroon (1 yellow only).

We all know it is all nonsense. Nothing fair about the moroccans at all throughout the tournament.

Won’t be surprised if Morocco win that bid, especially as there is also a counter bid from Botswana-South Africa.

Motsepe could, in the interest of “fair play” urge his EXCO to award the hosting rights to Morocco, all in a bid to paint him as an “unbiased” president 🤣
