SymphonyRad:What kind of mischievous writeup be dis? How can you compare Awoniyi with Ahmed and Ighalo that has retired? Has Awoniyi retired? Is he not still playing in EPL? Who told you those players are better than Awoniyi? |

Unlimited22:Morocco must be not be allowed to host the 2030 World Cup. Haba! Is it too late to file a petition? All the FAs in Africa need to come together and address this. |

SymphonyRad:If Awaziem can still be considered as super eagles player that just finished Afcon then don't write Iheanacho off. |

Bossoflife25:In our last two knockout games, how many dud we score? Did Senegal face Mozambique? What do you think the scoreline would be? When people compare Nigeria to another country like Senegal, it's because we ought to be miles ahead of them with the human capital we have at our disposal The truth is this, this Nigerian team is still a work in progress and isn't there yet. We always struggle with teams that sit back to defend and are very disciplined with their movement and sadly, our coach doesn't know how to respond to adverse situations tactically. He's a good coach but he isn't Zidane or Klopp. I really want us to start organising friendly matches against top European teams because I believe this AFCON against low ranked African sides may have given us a false sense of satisfaction Let us see where we truly are on the world stage. Let use see what Bassey would do against an Mbappe, Yamal, Desire Doue or Harry Kane. Let's celebrate the improveme t but let's not get way over our heads. There's still a lot of work to be done |

Bossoflife25:Sor has only 1 goal and 1 assist as an attacker in a Belgian league this season Boniface would never be the same player he was and frankly in all his games for us, he was shit!!!!! Moffi is without a club Ejuke is all dribbles with no end product- another chukwueze in the making but less talkative Please when listing talents, do your homework well. Some of these players may not pan out the way we want them and I daresay, they are below average. Now compare to Senegalese talent pipeline I rest my case bro. This ain't personal |

forgiveness:Taiwo Awoniyi need to remain fit and move next season,Bremen tried to get him on loan but his injuries records alarming, coaches don't like a player that's on and off cuz of injuries, that's the reality... |

darkelf:Let me start from did Senegal face Mozambique?but they faced Botswana, rate Mozambique and Botswana...yes they drew Congo,we lost to Congo via penalties...Senegal defeated Benin 3-0 the same Benin we beat 4-0...yes won Egypt by lone goal, against Egypt poor officiating denied us outright victory,Akor goal?Senegal showed resilient took Morocco to 120 minutes football just like Nigeria, what separated us was that goal, respect to Senegal but fact that Senegal team will only defeat us via penalties which can go either sides |

forgiveness:Oga, Awoniyi is too injury prone, when last did he play a game for Nottingham? instead of talking about players like Rafiu, Orban etc na Awoniyi we still dey discuss...abeg! |

Kog45:And how many games did Awaziem play at the AFCON? Chelle isn't calling up Iheanacho as long as he's coach, so make una dead that agenda. |

Kog45:Injury is a totally different issue but he classified Awoniyi with expired players like Ahmed and Ighalo. That's totally unacceptable. Osimhen is also an injury prone player. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Kog45(m): 12:24pm On Jan 20 |
SymphonyRad:We're talking football here and I hate anything like agenda or hate...or did you see anyone advocating for Iheanacho prior to Afcon?...I just used Awaziem to buttress my point that anything can happen, yes the team is taking shape and it will be good seeing young talents making the team |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by forgiveness: 12:28pm On Jan 20 |
SymphonyRad:It is now I know you are not following up. Person wey still play this month. Rafiu and Orban are still coming up. They have not reached Awoniyi level. |

zuchyblink:DRC has been in perpetual war for more than 4 decades. There was a certain time mid last year churches were surrounded there and it's members wiped out and it made the news. See how it discouraged foreign born players 😒 You and the foreign born players need to up your excuse game |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by SymphonyRad: 1:07pm On Jan 20 |
forgiveness:So a benchwarmer is good enough for the national team, but 2 young players who are doing well in the Seria A are still coming up? with this logic I can see why our national team is a joke, very nice one bro. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 1:08pm On Jan 20 |
TheSuperNerd:Curiously you didn't mention Chrisantus Uche for the midfield. Is it that he doesn't fit anywhere in our midfield set up? By the way, I don't like players like Dele Bashiru who have no clear and defined roles. Much like how several coaches found it hard to deploy Iheanacho towards the twilight of his national team career. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by SymphonyRad: 1:11pm On Jan 20 |
Kog45:The constant here is that the Iheanacho ship has sailed a long time ago, even Awaziem made the AFCON squad only because Benjamin Frederick was injured...our CB depth has already picked itself- Bassey, Benjamin,Ajayi, Igoh Ogbu and most likely Chibuike Nwaiwu. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by SymphonyRad: 1:12pm On Jan 20 |
Mujtahida:Maybe because many see Christiantus Uche more as a forward than a midfielder. |

It seems Senegal might be kicked out of the world cup for staging a walkout during the finals against Morocco, FIFA really want to make an example out of the incident... |

elyte89:I hope so, but the body language of infantino and Motsepe suggests they were not happy about Senegal winning the AFCON during the trophy presentation, won't put it past FIFA to play bad politics here and screw Senegal here. https://x.com/TouchlineX/status/2013497929244303496?s=20 |

...na so another person take mention Iheanacho making a comeback, in 2026? why not then bring back or unretire the likes of Ahmed Musa, Ighalo, Awoniyi and other players who are in the football twilight of their playing careers.. exciting football no dey sweet una otherwise we should be talking about building around Osimhen, Akor and then others like Gift Orban, Rafiu Durosinmi, Philip Otele, Sani Suleman, Njinmah, Femi Azeez, Shola Shoretire and if NFF are serious try court Ethan Nwaneri, Rio Ngumoha, George Ilenikhena, Emmanuel Emegha and other dual nationals who will elevate our attacking options to a 100... players like Onuachu and Moses Simon should be phased out respectfully in 2026, dem don try.
