Calinson2000:Banks usually collate people's funds and invest for them. So you must not have upto 50M before you can invest in Primary Market. Some banks accept as low as 100k while others starts from 500k or 1m. The only disadvantage with that, is that you must go with the banks rate. Meaning you don't have the independence of choosing your rate as you would have had it you were to invest 50m. |

Calinson2000:We have said it here severally, Bankers would not just leave you to move money from your account elsewhere. Be it investment or even other banks because that your money is making someone (your account officer) to meet his/her own target. What you should do in the scenario that they stand in your way after you have made your findings and you are convinced about your investment is to either go to another branch of that bank to make your request or better still write to their customers care which is usually at their Head office. From their instructions will be given to them. Another way to go is to be firm with your resolve and if they drag feet you go the confrontational way of either reporting them to their manager or threaten to report to their Head office. This however, usually affects relationships because you may need them some other time for other things. |

freeman67:I think it’s best to just use the app to make these transfers if it’s less than 100m. I usually use some few days to complete them if I’m moving heavy funds. Cos these guys are mandated to file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) once the amount is over a certain threshold, so they’ll delay you through all that process. And give you unnecessary publicity too. Had an altercation with one of these top banks branch manager cos of this same issue last year. Just increase your transfer limit to 25m, download their e-Token app and do your stuff in tranches…if you don’t want those stress. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Calinson2000: 2:38pm On Jan 19 |
Transfer limit I was told is 5M via app. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 2:54pm On Jan 19 |
Calinson2000:Individual accounts have a maximum transfer limit of 25m via electronic channels. Although you can still walk into the branch and do a transfer close to that amount after reaching that electronic limit (but be ready for those delay & reporting hassles). Most Banks allow you to raise the electronic transfer limit on their app without needing to visit their branch. Otherwise, just visit the branch and have it increased. They’ll also guide you on how to set up the e-token after that. It can be pretty seamless depending on how technologically advanced your Bank is. |

Calinson2000:GTbank is 25m, access is 15m. Check your bank app on how to increase the limit to the max. Do a transfer now and do another tommorow. Case closed. With banks, they will keep dribbling you if you drop by. Do cowrywise. You will have variety and its a short period you are going for. Just throw it into Trustbanc (via cowrywise) and relax for 90 days. Their rate is 3% better than stanbic |

Preator:I think u can increase your GTbank to 100m maximum daily transfer limit. Update your Gtbank app and check limit under settings in app. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Preator: 5:43pm On Jan 19 |
Bluearrow:Not sure it works. NIP is still limited to 25m. I tried the direct debit for 50m e no work.

| Re: Mutual Funds by Bluearrow: 12:13pm On Jan 20 |
Can someone withdraw profit monthly from trustbanc cowrywise & myinvestar mmf or it is quarterly? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Beeron: 12:21pm On Jan 20 |
MMFadvisor:Focus on advertising your company sir. People here you advertising to, tracks MMF rates across the board more often than you on a daily basis. Shoving your company in their faces won't cut it. Get creative, Put together all other rates of other MMF alongside your own so we can begin to compare and analyze. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Beeron: 12:24pm On Jan 20 |
Bluearrow:Most NOT all operate the same way, yes —you can withdraw at any time but the only time they compound your gains is quarterly. Stanbic compound monthly. |
