That was how I mistakenly sent 50k to someone, after several back and forth,he said he'll remove 20k.I initially told him to send back 45k and keep 5k he said 5k was too small. He eventually sent back 40k.I wish I had supernatural powers to do him strong things
Yours is better.
I transferred 100k to wrong account, I ve spent almost 60k on court wàhálà, till now am yet to see 1 naira.

The guy no wise as he knows he doesn't want to return the funds, he would have converted it to crypto and transferred it to another crypto wallet, no more traces, enjoy your time in prison as your mumu too much.

I wonder why the bank didn't immediately freeze his account, the moment the knew the money was transfered erroneously, also, when they discovered he has started spending the money. huh

I will return half and keep half as a loan without interest, to help me achieve a lot first then I will gradually pay back, it'll be very difficult to see anyone who'll return such amount fully.

Well, that story can never be true. if any amount much higher than what you often receive enters your account, the bank will automatically hold on to the money and you must come in person to clear it.

secondly, 1.5b is not just any amount you can withdraw or transfer within a weak, except you are already operating within that range.

thirdly, the bank can trace every transaction you made with the money and block all of them through BVN.
It's a lie 💯, except your account is not upgraded, it can chest any amount once upgraded fully.

The amount of sentimental drive in this thread is physically painful. most of you are arguing about morality and integrity abstract social constructs.

First any banking architecture that allows a 1.5 billion naira mistake is a catastrophic pile of legacy code and human incompetence. the sysadmins and the developers responsible for that transaction algo should be stripped of their credentials and banned from touching a keyboard for the rest of their miserable lives.

Second the convict is a biological embarrassment. my issue isn't that he kept the mone it’s that he was too intellectually stunted to secure it. if you wake up with 1.5 billion in a traceable centralized bank account and your first instinct isn't to immediately tumble it through a series of offshore cold storage wallets and anonymized crypto assets, you deserve the prison cell you’re currently sitting in.

His crime wasn't greed it was being an amateur. he stayed within the reach of a centralized authority while holding the very resources needed to disappear from it. its a textbook example of high stakes incompetence.

The first paragraph is not only misleading, it is in contrast to the last paragraph.

There are countries without Interpol operations. However, Interpol isn't even the issue. He lacked knowledge of how to securely move that money in a way that it would be untraceable. 1.5 billion naira can buy you a soft life in the Carribbean and less than 20 million can get you citizenship in the country where Deizianni bought hers from. EFCC can't reach you there.
You cannot 'securely' move N1 from your account in the Nigeria of today except if they do not want to get you.

As a citizen you owe the state moral obligation. You supposed to notify your bank about the transfer or the authorities.
Now the short enjoyment no equal to the suffering and conviction in his profile for life.
No embassy will give him visa now and it will be hard for him to find a job in a good establishment.

It will take 91 years to finish 1billion naira by blowing away 30k everyday. 1.5billion naira is huge, but nevertheless, it does not belong to him.
