I will take your own views seriously when you actually make out time to watch the players I confidently speak about and analyse.

When you dont watch games of players, you dont get to have a say on such players. That becomes ignorance vs Informed analysis.

I saw the Inter v Pisa game. You did not. So you dont have anything to agree or disagree with coz you saw nothing.

that boy na just Ivorian Onazi

Em garagara too much 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oulai and garagara in the same sentence?

This boy is tricky and embodies his age. He is still learning. He is good, but needs to learn how to play with his team rather than trying to over do things.

That said, he should be aiming to leave Turkey entirely. A trip to France, Germany or Spain will help him a lot.

So the answer is no, you didnt watch the game at all.

Akinsanmiro you have not watched.

Nwaiwu you have also not watched.

Prosper Obah you have also not watched.

So in essence, you are just a flashscore copy&paste merchant. Nothing more.
did I tell you that I have watched Obah before? Or when did it become a crime to post little known talents here for others who are yet to see them to take notice? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My brother I have bigger issues to face than fighting and arguing baselessly in a faceless thread/forum 🤦‍♀️

He was actually decent against Inter, and the yellow card from the ref was harsh.

Plays like these young Senegalese midfielders that are advertised everyday on Twitter.

Now let me further expose why I say your game ignorance stinks.

I also analysed David Moses vs Barca in the UCL few days back and I was honest in my analyses saying how well he did. He was eventually taken off after 45mins but you did not make any snide remarks about that. They also went on to lose 4-2 but you did not mock the result as a way to water down his performance on the day. This is because you already have a bias in favor of Moses and you possibly did not see the game.

But you are doing the exact opposite for Akin on a game you did not even see.

How many times must it be said on this thread that a player can have a fine individual showing even if his team loses? Mikel vs Spain at the FIFA Confed Cup is a major example.

So please, next time you want to make a remark be it bad or good about a player with respect to a game, just make sure you have seen the whole game first. Afterall, seeing the game does not guarantee objectivity on your part not to mention when you dont even see it.

You speak of certain lads as if you have seen them play.
The way you spoke of David Moses for example only to be caught and you admitted you never saw him play in a full game (this is before his UCL debut).

Same with Nwaiwu. You never saw him play in Austria and you came out to confess it because of how I had been tackling your ignorance on these players.

This is not fighting. This is me sanitising the nonsense some of you do by confidently berating or talking up a player you have not even watched. It dampens the quality of players feedback we give on this thread.

There is no formation without weaknesses. There is no system that cannot be countered. Relying on wing forwards also means weakening the midfield and progressing the ball mostly through the wings which concedes the middle game to the opponents.

Also, this thing you've been going on about bringing in wing-forwards like it's one big bright tactical adjustment, Eric Chelle did it. He brought in Moses Simon on the left wing to shore it up and support Bruno due to the way Hakimi and Diaz were double-teaming on him.

In all your criticism of Eric Chelle for the Morocco game, you have never acknowledged the biased officiating. The Moroccans foul-baited the referee for the entire 120 mins duration of our game, and he fell for it every time. He gave them soft fouls but turned a blind eye to the blatant fouls they committed against us, and even refused to card them, and this impeded us from playing our game.

By the way, do you know what winning the Bronze medal in the AFCON means for Eric Chelle, the coach you're not convinced with? The implicit implication of that finish is that Eric Chelle was the third best coach out of the 24 that participated in the competition, and on the African continent.

Also, given a choice between Walid Regragui and Eric Chelle, I will pick Chelle from a tactical standpoint. The former's team huffed and puffed throughout the competition and were never convincing even in victory despite the officiating-help and home support, and that's the reason many Moroccans are calling for his sack.

Eric Chelle on the other hand gave the Super Eagles a playing identity. A press from front playing style that chokes the opponents, does not allow them time on the ball and results in lots of turnovers and dominant possession In addition, he brought new nicks to our game by moving the ball through the middle, and not the wings like we're used to playing.

The Super Eagles played with fluidity and almost psychic understanding. Another often underappreciated but important mark of good coach which Eric Chelle exhibited in this AFCON but does not get enough credit for is the personal improvement he brought on the players. Bruno, Osayi, Bassey, Ajayi, Ndidi, Iwobi and Onyeka raised their games and were all unplayable this AFCON. That's what Eric Chelle has brought to the team. Is that the coach who has not convinced you?

It's almost like you're on a paid "agenda" to discredit the coach and the team because your stance fails by every objective metric. Lest I forget, I asked you to suggest a good and convincing 50k/month coach for the Super Eagles but since then na radio silence. I still dey wait....
@The bolded, spot on 💯 we are not giving Chelle enough credit on the impact on the players mentioned and even others. Even Lookman becoming the tournament’s best play maker is to the credit of Chelle.

Nwaiwu didn't really impress me in his first league match as he wasn't as imposing as I would have loved, but that was understandable considering it is a new environment.

He did better yesterday.

I hope in future games we will put the blame right where it is when we lose or don’t do well cos this is indeed a true revelation. Ibrahim Alani, a 19 y/o midfielder is not getting a good run of games at Real Valladolid in La Liga 2. This comes especially after he made 3 La Liga appearances last season (2024/2025).

Valladolid has played 22 league games this season and Alani has only featured in 9 and started just one game. This is a lad who came through Valladolid B yet is not trusted in second tier football despite impressing in the top tier in just 3 games last term.

He is named to the Valladolid bench again vs Albacete. He did not come off the bench in their last 2 games.

What did the Senegalese do differently ? They contained both full backs using both their wingers and their full backs. The game is such that both sides would create chances to score, the team that takes theirs wins the game. It is for us to create more chances than our opponents. It doesn't matter if it is Morocco or any other team.
If he had done this and Morocco had scored, I'm sure you'd be the first person to suggest some other option that he could have done. The man at home watching always knows better than the coach no matter what the coach does.

TheGoodJoe, what do you make of this? Lol
Sorry for seeing this late.

I see this move as a statement of progression. Regragui has been obsession with the understanding of the possession game. He has that thirst of knowledge.

Iniesta is likely a brilliant mind in that. Guardiola pointed at Iniesta's brain even as a kid.

I only see improvement from this. Might not be immediate but if the Moroccans give it time, they will likely see amazing results.

Meliforme is a very good coach, in fact the best coach on Nairaland but all his coaching happens in his head. And it's always fantastic and his team always wins and it's Ejuke who scores all the goals 😂😂

We also need to keep in mind that the Moroccans have added some advanced intelligence system which they use to study teams. This might be also a move to help them assimilate the data they get from teams and learn how to apply it.

Either way, I see only a win-win scenario from this.

This! One criteria I always use to rate coaches apart from success in winning trophies is much have players improved under you.

I'm flexible on the playing identity part as long as you're winning but your value as a coach should reflect on how much your players have improved under your tutelage.

Under Eric I've seen Bruno, Ajayi, and Osayi upgrade their game massively. Iwobi finally manifest what his game is about and how that will improve the team. Ndidi evolve from a tackle and side way pass merchant to a fairly decent CDM who helps initiate attack and retain possession.

Because of Eric I've not totally given up on Chukwueze. Chelle plays Samuel often so maybe he sees something I don't.

j
I used to panic whenever I see Bright and to some extent Ajayi in the defense. Not anymore. They were so solid that my mind is now at peace. Even if subsequently I see them have a bad game, I have seen what they are capable of, how solid and defensively tight and rugged they can be.

Yes, I am aware of their use of advanced tech in games and teams analysis but even with all that, they still cant just play fair.... as good as their analytical tech is, as good as their team is, they seem to prefer gaining advantages through imbalanced officiating.

It disgusts me.
