FT Reims 1-0 Saint Etienne

Hafiz Ibrahim Match Winner!

His 5th goal and 6th G/A in Ligue 2 from 17 games (6 starts).

10-man Reims moves into 3rd on the Ligue 2 table.

TheSuperNerd:
Reims get red card but Hafiz Ibrahim scores!!! And get subbed off 6mins later. Reims lead 1-0 with 10 men.

TheSuperNerd:
It was Vince Osuji's 3rd senior appearance of the season but it was indeed his first senior league appearance. Other 2 came in cup games.

Tochukwu Nnadi eventually came in on 64mins and distinguished himself leaving with a decent showing.
Vince Osuji's official senior league debut for Club Brugge in the Jupiler Pro league after months of impressing for Club Brugge NXT.

He has not been listed for the Club Brugge feeder team in the 2nd tier for their last 3 games and has consistently made the Senior side's matchday squads in 4 of their last 5 games (exception is a cup game) before today.

Hopefully, this is the beginning of more senior team gametime for another of Nigeria's finest young CB prospects.

Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi, a 24 y/o Naija big CF and very intimidating physical specimen, but still on 1 league goal all season. Week after week, he keeps getting picked for OH Leuven but is not getting the goals.

1 goal in 17 league games (11 starts). Last season he did better with 6 goals, 2 assists in 37 league games.

Played vs League leaders, Royal USG today for 78mins. Zero shots but to be fair, it is the league leaders and reigning Champs.

He really needs to get the ball running coz his current drought is on 009 now across all competitions.

Big strikers can struggle too.

TheSuperNerd:
I have it at 8 assists actually.
The "believed" 8th assist is the one he used to force that Ghanaian PAOK defender to score an own goal in the Europa League. I don't think we can count it as an official assist.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
You are right. Just rechecked. The fact that he is Ghanaian makes me more pleased... Abdul Rahman Baba.

So it is 7.

Modified: Every penalty won by Osimhen but converted by a teammate for club or country don't count as actual assists to. I have rechecked and corrected everything in the records

oga law, I just got online and see all your quotes. I no get power to answer each of them. But this analogy of MRI no be good one for this matter. make you look again for yourself

.
Mujtahida:
This thing is a simple point. It's not about whether they have father, mother or grandparents or ancestors from Congo. Dual citizenship is the issue. Congolese law prohibits it. And then Nigeria alleges that Congo DR used players of dual citizenship and therefore used ineligible players.

Some people argue to say ooh but Congo DR issued them passports. But then just as the soccernittygritty guy analyzed by way of extending such an argument: Take MRI cases for example. Are we saying that just because MRI scan certificates are presented by a country, that suffices? Ought we not to confirm if indeed such players are within the age bracket?

By parity of reasoning, the fact that Congo DR issued them passport is of no moment. The crux of the matter is are these players dual citizens or not. If they are. They are not Congolese citizens and therefore not eligible to play for Congo.

We did not make the rules. They made it.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:39am On Jan 25
you get point sha. The question is are the players citizens of Congo DR? Is the passport a proof that the government of Congo DR gave them special, potentially irregular, citizenship status?

Mujtahida:
Oh jeez your misconception is too loud for me to ignore. Nothing concerns fifa with Congolese laws. Fifa is concerned with eligibility based on citizenship. At that point there's a meeting point between FIFA's laws and Congolese laws. In law, we call it conflict of laws and this plays out mainly in the domain of international law.

Mbappe's panenka vs Pape Gueye's Villarreal had a message behind it. Lol

Pape Gueye also made an error that led to madrid's 1st goal

Fix your eye on this: dual nationality = no nationality under Congolese law. How does issuance of a passport cure that?

The question you should be asking is: are those players dual citizens?

Age is universal. Citizenship is situational. if you say by your own laws they are not citizens and country said we approved their citizenship as a special case. there is no argument based on FIFA laws, as the country is the authority
