Probably not related. His “uncle” may mean master while learning a trade. Yerima made the age of consent thirteen so he could marry young females. Another part that Nairaland children are too dull to understand is that such age will make children abandon studies to marry each other, creating more illiterates to worship the wealthy. He’s twenty-seven and she is seventeen or eighteen. No crime here unless she was twelve years old. May they birth at least six children before he decides to take another wife.

The guy looks handsome, by the way.
Stop the digression. Northerners especially the fulas Mary their cousins and they justify it Islamic ally. This is. Nothing but incest, be use the arabs do it doesn't make it right. Inbreeding , same disease, ailment and all manners of generational health challenges loading

Going by their current ages, no crime. And I learnt in Islam they are permitted to marry their biological cousins, which to me is somehow "one kaind one kaind" but still to them again, no crime.

Can you give evidence?
"Forbidden to you are your mothers and your daughters…" (Qur'an 4:23)

Classical scholars (clear and explicit):

Ibn Qudamah (Hanbali):

"It is forbidden for a man to marry his daughter even if she was born from zina."
(Al-Mughni, 7/485)

Imam Malik:

"A man may never marry his daughter, whether she is from nikah or from zina."
(Al-Mudawwanah, 2/256)

Hanbali madhhab (authoritative position):

"He is prohibited from marrying her. This is the correct position of the madhhab."
(Al-Insaf, 8/105)

Ibn Taymiyyah (consensus):

"The scholars are agreed that a man is forbidden from marrying his daughter even if she is from zina."
(Majmu' al-Fatawa, 32/134)

Please read this post carefully:

https://islamqa.info/en/answers/78597/he-committed-zina-with-a-woman-is-he-allowed-to-marry-her-daughter

When you read it, you will see that according to the scholars there:

Even if the woman had a child with another man

That child is still prohibited for the man who committed zina with the mother to marry.

The rabid islamophobia on Nairaland is getting to breaking points.
There's hardly ANY topic on the front page which doesn't elicit comments showing open hate for Muslims and Islam and quite often, a call for the extermination of Muslims by rabid islamophobes who have found a safe haven on your platform to make comments they can't make on most other public SM platforms.

I don't see why anyone who says "Islam/Muslims must be eradicated/exterminated" should not be permanently banned!

DO SOMETHING
what part is wrong with what I have said?

You are making assumptions. His uncle is his father's brother. As a matter of fact, the Islamic religion allows for cousins to marry. So nothing new here. Apart from the effects of inbreeding, I think they'll be fine. I wish them the best

I have a lot to learn from your culture.
Let me begin by sharing this Quranic verse that talked about these differences:

"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."

Takeaways

The verse begins by addressing all of "mankind," reminding everyone that they share a common biological origin (Adam and Eve).

It explicitly states that differences in "nations" (cultures/races) and "tribes" (lineage/families) are intentional.

The goal is to "know one another" implying mutual recognition, interaction, and the sharing of knowledge rather than conflict or tribalism. It also dismantles the idea of racial or cultural superiority.

THEREFORE, THE FEELING THAT EVERYONE MUST BE LIKE ME CAN NEVER HAPPEN. GOD WOULD HAVE MADE US THE SAME RACE, COLOR AND HEIGHT, TO START WITH, IF HE WANTS US TO BE THE SAME.

Explain why it is.

Who was Abraham to Sarah
Answer:
Genesis 20:12
[12] And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

Who was Rebecca to Isaac?
Same.
Rebecca was Isaac's 2nd cousin.

Why was it fine for God's beloved to do so in those days but is now an offence for us?

The difference is in the prevailing law.
Leviticus 18:9
The unclothedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their unclothedness thou shalt not uncover.

Until Lev 18: 9, it was ok to do so.
But from Lev 18:9, it became a taboo.

Where there is no sin, there is no law.
It is perverted. Stop talking gibberish

Perverted people and culture
But it isn't perverting to have sexual relationships with a cousin?

Hypocrisy plus...

Marriage is considered religious affairs to those who practise religion.
No divine book forbade cousins from getting married to each other.

Any contrary believe is an opinion!
