Trump Orders Re-Opening Of Venezuela Airspace by Faith0(op): 12:00am On Jan 30
President Donald Trump said he had ordered commercial airspace over Venezuela to be reopened Thursday, nearly four weeks after the US military operation to topple Nicolas Maduro.

Trump told a cabinet meeting he had just spoken to Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodriguez “and informed her that we’re going to be opening up all commercial airspace over Venezuela.”American citizens will very shortly be able to go to Venezuela and they will be safe there. It’s under very strong control,” Trump said at the White House.Trump added that he had instructed US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy “and everybody else concerned, including the military, that if you would, by the end of today, I’d like you to have the airspace over Venezuela” opened.

About two hours after Trump’s announcement, the Federal Aviation Administration announced on X that it had removed four notices to airlines warning about airspace in the region, including over the South American nation.Trump added that he had instructed US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy “and everybody else concerned, including the military, that if you would, by the end of today, I’d like you to have the airspace over Venezuela” opened.

About two hours after Trump’s announcement, the Federal Aviation Administration announced on X that it had removed four notices to airlines warning about airspace in the region, including over the South American nation.

The alerts “were issued as precautionary measures and are no longer necessary,” the FAA said.

“We’ve got this, Mr. President,” Duffy said on X. “We are clearing the way for travel between the United States and Venezuela.”

American Airlines announced plans to reinstate service, saying it was in contact with US officials and would schedule flights “pending government approval and security assessments. The United States has kept Venezuelan airspace closed to commercial flights since the January 3 military operation that captured leftist leader Maduro, who now faces trial on drug and terrorism charges in New York.

Trump also said that major oil companies were “going to Venezuela now, scouting it out and picking their locations.”Following the fall of Maduro, Venezuela’s Rodriguez quickly signed oil agreements with Trump, who has declared that his administration now controls the sector — the main engine of the Venezuelan economy.

Reminds me of how he informed S. Korea to sign a deal to invest $350m to make dump great again.

Basically, he 'informs' people, and thinks it's a deal.

Nice one. Please close Iranian airspace and do the needful. There must be peace in the middle east. Iran must go down for peace to reign

I still maintain that it is absurd for a president to kidnap another sitting president for trial in a kangaroo court, then put his own yes-man (or woman in this case) in power to sigh whatsoever contract he wishes and the citizens of that country find nothing absolutely wrong with it.

Well the 'kidnapped President " is not considered the legitimate leader of a country where elections are always bent to keep him in power. Moreover the person who is in charge now was his deputy, so the Americans have satisfied both sides of the argument as far as Venezuela is concerned.

Much like the Rivers state of Nigeria matter. You just don't know where to land because whoever you support is wrong. A governor rigged into power or an overlord seeking to control him.

Guess it is the prime paradox of our time and the lessons are simple. Do the right thing to have a genuine case.

Well you can't have up to a quarter of your population fleeing your country under your rule as a positive impact. Imagine if a President is elected in Nigeria and keeps himself in power for over a decade and so terrorizes the country 50 million Nigerians flee to Niger, Benin and the Camerouns...then he is captured...how many do you think will mourn him...

I think Trump want all the corrupt drug Baron who occupies sensitive position in countries around the world to know that using your position as a president to commit international terrorism would safe you is a lie. Trump is simply carrying out the ORDER OF THE new York Court, who indicted Maduro of terrorism. President Joe Biden also issued warrant of arrest for his extradition to the US.

So don't you blame Trump. Blame his poverty induced policies that made his people poorer and poorer.

President presiding over another Country because they have the might to do it. How is this different from Colonial era.

I do not blame Countries who do not uphold Moral standard set by the West.
The West is the least qualified to ever talk about Moral standard and the only way to hadle them is by MADNESS.

Kudos to Kim Jong Un

People are quick to blame a neighbor who comes to the rescue of a mad man who wanted to murder his family... Why are you blaming Trump and not maduro for what he subjected his pepe to, why?

This senile war criminal is so doing too much.
Imagine ordering opening and closing of another country's airspace, JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO FIGHT BACK.

Why didn't the fool try that with Iran during their fight with USA+Israel combined?

What's the business of Trump with the internal affairs of another country?
So, Maduro has been killing people since 2014 that he became a president?
Many of you have just replaced the content in your head with noodles, I swear...

Trump must be joking to think Maduro"s Drug Mafia gangs will easily forget what he did to their boss, I pity ignorant Americans that will willingly sacrifice their life by visiting Venezuela.

Drug Mafias are more dangerous than terrorists, they invented gorilla warfare similar to the one orchestrated by Afghanistans to Americans that made them flee Afghanistan after 20 years of war without success.

Mind you, Forgiveness is not in the dictionary of Drug Mafias, they target you and your entire family for as many years as you cannot imagine and even come close to you to earn your trust before unleashing their fatal blow of unexpected execution. That's how dangerous they are and Trump just stepped on their toes, trust me, they will treat Trump's FvcK up long after he leaves the White House.

If not for the 'unqualified west' General Abdulsalami Abubakar will have continued in power at the demise of General Sani Abacha.

It was the overbearing pressure and damaging western sanctions that eventually broke military rule in Nigeria.

If the so called unqualified west had turned a blind eye and rejected the cries of the pro democracy fighters what will have removed the military from power today.

Mr Tinubu will likely have remained and perhaps died in exile just as millions of Venezuelans are.

The people of Mali and other Sahelian states where the west has no regards today, we can see how they are faring under military rule and we will see how it will end. Sooner than later it is people from that place that will be seeking 'unqualified western' help.

The undemocratic developing world has no way of eating it's cake and having it. You can call.the west all sorts of names you want but then why jump on the next aeroplane to seek for help.

This is the useless story they tell you when US wants to steal, same stories that were said before Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan, same old stories they are saying about Iran. And same US struggling to solve their own problems

Why do you think he can't try this with Russia who is consistently bombing Ukraine? abi is that not enough crime.

No, it is countries that are undemocratic and divided that cannot stand. Colombia has a drug issue worse than Venezuela but the US has no case for regime change because it is democratic, so is Mexico, so is Brazil, so is Greenland and other countries that irk the present US leadership but there is nothing they can do.

I repeat again.
You cannot have a quarter of your population in exile due to persecution, you cannot have the legitimate elected government in exile and have any sympathy. Countries that are 'preyed' upon by the 'evil US' are in themselves rotting carcasses.

But why would a nation keep intimidating other sovereign nations without thorough processed approval by the IN and the bully nation's president keeps pretending to be a honest umpire and peace fighter for the whole world? 🤔

Kudos to Kim for what exactly? For executing his citizens when he discovers they wanna leave the country? For jailing people who don't put his pictures high above in their houses? For bugging people's phones monthly? Or is it for taking away their freedom to interact with any other race? Some of you just make some very weird comments because this is a faceless forum.
