Yes it is. The movie is about a family in which every member is a wizard/witch. It depicts the great power of unity in the family, no matter how strong and tormenting a battle or attack from any source is, if the family is united they will always conquer.

No I did not in anyway downplay their achievement. I only stated the fact. That 100m doesn't equate 100m persons viewed it. One person can have upto 10 to 20 views of that movie. And with how erratic our network is it Could be more.

I'm surprised because I'm in the industry. That's how 3 Cold Dishes was up for multiple AMAA awards last year and I'd never heard of it.

I actually don't agree 100M views for each part. The movie is already parts 1 to 10. I know each part is not less than 9 - 10M views. So this headline is misleading. Koleoso is not just a single part. It is parts 1 to 10

Yoruba cultural epic movies are super interesting. In fact, i can tell you for free that the Yoruba artists are yet to scratch the global potentials of their movies. They only need to concentrate more on the cultural theme and stop the stupid modern day dramas. People in Brazil, Cuba, South America in general and some part of the US will die to watch SANGO, OBATALA, OLUWERI, ELEGBARA, OLOKUN, ELA, SONPONA on the big screen any time, any day. The stories of historical and popular people, kings and villages in the past will also be hits.
What makes the Yoruba deities more powerful is because they are spirits yet they lived in yoruba land as humans which made the stories both powerful and human at the same time. Example is the story of OBATALA who was fond of drinking Palm wine.

The same thing can also be said about Igbo and Hausa movies. "People" in Brazil, Cuba, South America in general and some part of the US will die to watch.

Do you think people of other cultures will sit and watch a subtitled movie about an African culture?

Those people you are talking about are simply the African immigrants who understand the language and still want to associate with the culture.

If you don't agree that to be the case, then enjoy the delusion.
