This is what every state government should emulate, since power sector has been partially liberalized.

power plant that is owned by private individual, Alex otti don't know anything about that projects in Aba
Constant electricity supply is the foundation for hightec devt.
You people in control of Nigeria's political power must accept the fact that in most countries, development of high technology starts from one part of the country, and with time, it extends to the other parts of the country.

But Nigeria government represses the southeast that would lead in technology breakthrough.

But you are literate na. Without Electricity Act 2023, the IPP will be under the national grid.
So the power plant they are using was built in 2023 right?

Is Prof. Barth Nnajibstill not alive?

What has APC done to improve on power supply ? Nothing!! Only to share TSN among themselves and increase power and electricity bill to steal more money.
Can nepotism and tribalism allow APC take him as the minister of power?!
No
It was their propaganda and hatred that forced him to resign from GEJ’s government, despite performing very well. He was accused of running a private power company while serving as Minister of Power

We are getting there gradually. Geometric power have the capacity to scale their power generation by 10% annually

Did u look 👀 @ the date the power project was initiated?

Theodore Orji of Abia state was investing in electricity, Gringory Obi of Anambra state was investing in a brewery.
Some of the biggest money spinners are breweries. Remove NBL breweries in Lagos and Ibadan and you'll understand.

If only you knew the worth of companies like NBL,Sabmiller or Heineken, you won't deride PO for bringing their business in Anambra state

Prof. Barth Nnaji. Establishing Geometric Power while being the Minister of Power was what made him quit the position.

I'm glad the decision is paying off

The governor said a portion of the state and not the entire state.
Only a portion in Aba and not even the entire Aba. So what's the big deal about it?
There are 17 local governments in Abia. If you power 2 local govts, can you really claim to have powered the entire state?

What is happening in Aba is proof that the claim that prospective investors in the power sector will not be able to recover their investment if they invest is false

Pls if you don't know what to say just keep your mouth shut. Don't let me cause you

I live in Aba... I'm currently in Okigwe road Aba. I was born and brought up here and I know virtually all parts of the city. Can you tell me which area of Aba that is not covered by Aba power's 24/7 power or betherstill shut your mouth?

Energy generated by Aba Power is surplus for the city's energy needs and the company wanted to export the excesses to neighboring states. Both the governor intervened and urged the company to transfer the surplus to other parts of Abia. The problem is, another Disco company (EEDC) controls other parts of Abia State except Aba.

Now, just recently, Gov Oti has bought Umuahia(the state capital) and other parts of Abia State from EEDC control. The idea is to send the surplus power being generated by Aba Power to other parts of Abia State instead of exporting it to neighboring states. So in no distance time the whole state will be light up 24/7. But currently as I'm typing this, the whole Aba city is on 24/7 electricity. Its fact and it's verifiable. Always get your facts right before rushing to type.

Is the video you watched same with the one uploaded here ? abi you watched something else?

This is how you mischievous people go about deceiving people, spreading lies and changing narrative.

Where in the video did the governor mentioned "portion" in his speech? You sure say na this video you watched? It was even the narrator that mentioned 'portion' and what they are saying is that a significant portion of electricity infrastructure in Abia State is the within the authority of the govt of Abia State.

Now how did the above sentence translate to only a portion of Aba get light? Abi you get comprehension challenges?
