This thing dey burst brain aswear! How was Lateef Jakande able to build and complete 30,000 house units in 4 years. Yet the jokers we parade can't even be ambitious enough to do 10% of that in 8 years? Yet the cost of governance has risen 10,000 % compared to those good old times.

That is always driven by greed, and we're all privy to the consequences. It's never about planning for a generation, electoral cycles are the priority. That's also why projects are inaugurated and hardly completed. It should be downright illegal, infact bordering on treason, to start a project without 100% funding in place.

In the west, I have a seen a fully furnished 9 storey 180 apartments building built from foundation to completion and occupancy within 15 months. Same thing in Nigeria would take 24 years of red tapes, and 1000% contract inflation to complete.

We must challenge this statusquo. Every projects executed by government in Nigeria seems like a favour being done to the citizenry. Someone needs to tell these politicians that it's the right of the people to have good housing, healthcare, schools and other infrastructure. They need to stop placing a giant picture of themselves and making huge fanfare out of these white elephants project like it was done with their personal money.
We as a citizen need to receive sense also and stop putting them on a pedestal, praising them for merely doing their job.
