Although I'm concerned about Athleticos style of play, it is better for visibility
Athletico only plays like that when they play seemingly superior teams. They play possession and attacking football when playing lesser teams.

You're right about La Liga having more coverage and visibility though. I get to watch Premiership, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and even the EFL Championship on TV right here in Nigeria but other leagues na streaming things

💥 EXCL | Philip Otele to Hamburger SV - DONE DEAL ✔️

Full agreement reached with Basel. Medical scheduled for today.
Loan deal with an option to buy for the 26 y/o versatile attacking winger. Smart deal. #HSV

Peseiro football at the 2023 AFCON was Haramic as they come yet Lookman thrived.

Ademola will be good. I see this as his final opportunity at top level football.

Odunayaw:
The style of play is my concern. I'm indifferent about the move. The money is great though

Sani to Leipzig, Moffi to Porto, Lookman to A.Madrid, with a potential Onyedika move to the Bundesliga.

Have to say one of the best transfer windows for Nigerian players.

TheSuperNerd:
Yes, playing style will need some adapting but he is a World Class Player and has thrived in a similar ultra defensive system before. Remember Lookman under JPes.
Afcon is 7 games max. This is a marathon.

But as semid4lyfe said it's not all haram, mostly against better teams
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 12:44pm On Feb 01
AFCON 2023 was a physically demanding tournament no doubt plus the pitches weren't as pristine as the ones in Morocco.

yinkeys:
Maybe it’s just me
My observation
AFCON 2023 seemed more physically tasking
AFCON 2025 seemed more technical
Pitch quality
Injuries post Ivory Coast edition is more than that of Morocco

🇳🇬 Frank Onyeka to Coventry City from Brentford, deal agreed between all parties and here we go!

Loan with view to permanent move in the summer.

Wolfsburg is a top club in Bundesliga which is miles competitive than the Belgian top flight

Have not followed them much this season though so I have no idea about their current state/form

Just checked Wolfsburg are not doing well this season. But they still remain a top club in German football

Frank Onyeka loaned to Frank Lampard's table topping Coventry in the Championship. At least, he will see good gametime abeg.

Brentford still have not afforded him a starting berth after all this time.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 12:58pm On Feb 01
Yes but the point of referencing Afcon under Jpes is the defensive system which tested Lookman in a predominantly counter attack setup.
And yes Atleti only have 2 teams outrightly better than them in La Liga and that is Barca and Real Madrid (whom they still managed to spank 5-2 this season). Against nearly every other La Liga side, they play on the front foot.

Coventry isn’t bad, they are doing well in the English 2nd tier and likely to be in the EPL next season. It’s better than sitting on the bench at Brentford or moving to one of this Fulani clubs in Turkey 🇹🇷 🤣🤣🤣

'Sitting on same points with a game in hand but above Wolfsburg on the Bundesliga table and seeing they took points off Bayern yesterday, I reckon Hamburg will do enough to stay up this season.

Good move for Philip Otele after shining at Basel. He performs and Chelle will definitely come knocking.

Simon Moses' Super Eagles days are numbered oo. Will he withstand this fierce competition that is coming his way soon?

Bundesliga dey give me sweeter reasons to watch them more and more again. Carney, Otele, Ogundu.... and with time Sani.

Simon is not even my problem but Ejike. That guy still plays secondary school football. I don’t mind having Simon around instead of Ejike

e dey irritate me die

God just heard my prayers on Mola’s failed move to Fener. I don’t rate Turkish football at all no matter how we try to sugarcoat it here just because of Osimhen

I don’t see it as a league for bright talents and talents in their prime rather a league for fading talents and talents fresh out of Africa which can be used as a step to better leagues
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:23pm On Feb 01
Simon has been reduced to a bench player now so Ejuke's chances of coming off the bench are very slim and with more competition that threatens even Simon, Ejuke might find himself further away from the Super Eagles. This is the depth I have always wanted.
