Kanu Family Battles IPOB Over Sit-At-Home Nnamdi Kanu created the Directorate of State (DOS) to run IPOB if he was detained. The DOS took over the running of the organisation after Kanu was jailed in 2021. Mazi Chika Edoziem is the director of the Directorate of State. Kanu also made other orders at the time. He told the DOS to appoint Simon Ekpa as the lead broadcaster on Radio Biafra. However, the DOS sacked Ekpa because he was not following instructions. Kanu created the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and its commander is Chinasa Nworu. The Kanu Family has battled both the DOS and Simon Ekpa since Kanu's detention because it wants to play a more central role in IPOB. However, Nnamdi Kanu and the DOS have said that IPOB is separate from the family. Kanu's brothers, especially Kanunta and Emmanuel Kanu want the February 2nd, 2026 sit-at-home protest to go ahead, but the DOS is obeying Nnamdi Kanu's earlier order that the sit-at-home protest has been cancelled. IPOB DOS and Nnamdi Kanu's lawyers have said that the protest has been cancelled, while Kanu's brothers say that the protest must go on. Kanu's brothers are supported by BRGIE, the organisation set up by Simon Ekpa. Kanunta Kanu @MaziKanuntaKanu IPOB is led by Onyendu as long as he lives. He appointed members of the Directorate of State (DOS) while in DSS custody, acting through his now sacked lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who has absolutely nothing to do with Onyendu nor IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. A sacked lawyer and non-member of IPOB cannot speak for the movement.https://x.com/i/status/2017663260346953862 Kanunta Kanu @MaziKanuntaKanu THEY HAVE GONE HAYWIRE BECAUSE OF 2/2/2026 SIT AT HOME.https://x.com/i/status/2017557545578123719 Kanunta Kanu @MaziKanuntaKanu Ifeanyi Ejiofor was sacked over 2 years ago and has no business with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Chinasa Nworu and Chika Edoziem contacted me last week and asked me to stop issuing statements publicizing our leader’s unlawful detention and I refused. That was when they started plotting to hijack the leadership of IPOB and divert attention away from our leader.https://x.com/i/status/2017911428011745627 Kanunta Kanu @MaziKanuntaKanu INTERNAL MEMORANDUM TO ALL IPOB FAMILY MEMBERShttps://x.com/i/status/2017643083706364106

Chinasa Nworu is the commander of the Eastern Security Network. Chinasa Nworu @ChinasaNworu Biafrans please ignore the announcement that IPOB Worldwide called for Monday sit-at-home starry from 2nd Feb, 2026. Please disseminate widely to those who were previously misinformed about the total lockdown.https://x.com/i/status/2017655203961479637

Biafra is our last hope @bartholowem26743 The Nigerian Govt has infiltrated Emma Powerful, using Kanunta Kanu, Emmanuel Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, Maxwell Opara & Nnaemeka Ejiofor, these individuals took MNK back to court & jailed him after appeal court discharged & acquitted him, now they're working hard to make sure he didn't come out again to see all the evil they committed against him.https://x.com/i/status/2017864573798228088 |

Charles Chukwuma Soludo If I were the Governor of Anambra State, I would introduce strict market reforms. Before any market is opened, every shop owner must pay an opening fee of ₦200,000 per shop. This will bring sanity, seriousness, and proper regulation into our markets. When people have financial commitment, their eyes will open, and they will value order, cleanliness, and government policies. |

Sit-at-home order wouldn't change anything in the southeast but a conscious and pragmatic approach towards their fair share in Nigerian political landscape. |

gozmok1:You want separatists to delete innocent people abi You can’t guarantee their security yet you’re calling for them to quit protesting Those unknown gunmen delete innocent people who don’t adhere to sit at home whatever Is this governor an enemy of his people? Alex Otti isn’t treating his people this way He should learn from good examples set by Otti, he won’t be governor forever |

naptu2:The many sins of Nnamdi Kanu, all the monsters he created end up creating havoc in the South East, his life imprisonment is well deserved. We don't want such monster creating individual in our society...the Federal Government shouldn't forget to throw away the keys of his cell into the Atlantic Ocean. |

So far Nigeria continues to show its disgusting face of corruption and Marginalization, Biafra will always exist. Even after the war you didn't heed to correction. You continued you corruption. Even after 1999 you kept on the story of corruption and you expect the south east to fold arms and live with it? Why can't you prove the south east wrong by living up to standard. Develop Nigeria like it should be. It's funny how people are ready to sleep and dine in poverty and garbage |

The classical case of don't start what you won't be able to finish. Some people may hijack it for their sinister motives and you'll forever be blamed for being the originator. Same reason why some people are reluctant to organise a protest. |

See as mature adult men just dey delusional, e dey do me like say na film them dey act. Biafra is a pipe dream sold by the miserable to the gullible. There are almost an infinite number of reasons why Biafra would never materilize, and to see matured people, some even educated thinking that it will happen has to be the 8th wonder if the world. |
