Snakes are reticent and hide in lumps of household garbages and disused items. Do a thorough clean up and dispose items you don't use. Learn to give out old items to declutter your house. Don't leave hiding places for snakes, warm cool places and places infested with rodents are their favorite.

non venomous snake. belongs to the category of rat snake. i suspect someone planted that on the girls house.

Op, you mean you and this reptile played hide and seek for months and you lived in that same house? That is strange and a risky thing to do.

Next time you suspect having a snake or even see one, buy aidan fruit (uyayak fruit) and burn it inside your house. Let the smoke and smell fill up the entire house. The snake would be forced to run away. Do not use bitter kola as that pins the snake to the spot.

Some of us ate those Geckos while growing up, and we didn't die. There's no literature/book where it is written that Geckos are harmful/poisonous.

They do not have any venom producing glands like snakes and scorpions.

The lemon grass that they say snakes are afraid of, now snakes even hide inside the grass and move effortlessly around it.

The snake stayed for like 4 months before eventually shedding it skin then leave.

Life is mysterious. Whatever happens to that lady is beyond snake bite..

They served their own purpose in the ecosystems. Unfortunately, they kill sometimes but mosquitoes and some others kill much more.

That means the snake was comfortable, eating well, and probably hiding better than most tenants
