Judging by the map i will say the land is closer to Ondo than Ogun and Ondo has every right to claim it.

The national boundaries commission should wade into this matter and give the land to Ondo. The island is even closer to Ondo than it is to Ogun.Look at the map very closely.

It is a territory under Ogun, that was what even the governor cited. It is Ogun state land, even as stated by the Boundaries Commission, so no need to be sentimenal.

My grandfather-great grandfather is from Igbo Edun. Our family migrated from Mahin in present-day Ondo State to Igbo Edun, which is accessible by boat. U can get to Igbo Edun through ode Omi as well.

Historically, my grandfather maintained that the land belongs to Ogun State. Unfortunately, because the people speak the Ilaje language while residing in Ogun State, Ondo State has continued to lay claim to the territory based on linguistic affiliation rather than administrative boundaries.

During the referendum conducted in the 1970s–1990s, communities were asked whether they wished to remain in Ogun State or be transferred to Ondo State. Our family remained truthful and consistent, firmly maintaining that Igbo Edun/Eba land is Ogun State territory.

Ondo state is not the owner of the village. Ogun State owned the primary school in the village and Ogun State INEC has been conducting election in the area. Ondo state has no claim. Atijere is in ondo state and it's not near eba village in Ogun State.
