Good day my fellow Nairalanders. Hope each and everyone of you is doing well today?

One fateful night, during my OND days,I was just strolling pass a dark corner which I usually used to pass whenever I was visiting my course mates. Na so different people begin whisper. From their voices,I could easily tell they were all women and girls --"Hey,poly boy, abeg come help us kill snake. Snake enter our house". angry. Omoh,na once I put more speed for my movement angry. Me wey never kill snake for my entire life before angry.

Imagine people who had never spoken to me before since I packed into that compound developed a sudden kind of love for me shocked. I didn't just reply them but walked hastily as tho I didn't hear whatever nonsense they were saying. Later on,I heard they couldn't kill the snake as it managed to escape and entered into one of their rooms.

Since then, tho I've killed like two baby snakes, but at least I'm happy I didn't try to form a Rambo to impress women by trying to kill a snake that could have bitten me to death angry. After all,if no hospital in the whole of FCT could have a snake antivenoms vaccines, how much more could be said about a government hospital located in one remote village in Delta state?

From that night, until I left that environment, they all saw me as their enemy and I didn't care angry

Hope I wasn't wicked?

So, Nairalanders, has anyone of you had an encounter with a snake in the past before? Please share so that we all can learn some lessons form your encounters and experiences.

You re not man enough
Snake were creatures,
Easy to kill
Just target his head,
Hit it with long stick or rod
That is all!
I can't count the numbers of snakes
I don killed,
Even I killed two
Last month!

Why say he's not man enough?

He probably escaped death or something.

Slithering creatures are stylishly dangerous and if anyone can't face their problem, why the innocent dude?

Make una deh control how una de push una fellow men to danger.

That's how a young chap went to fight for a girl who was beaten by her boyfriend and got beaten into coma and the girl reconciled with her man and they got married and they named their child after him for settling everlasting conflict in their relationship....

I've killed snakes on two occasions when I visited my village... There are plenty of snakes and scorpions there during the summer and autumn seasons, almost everyone there knows how to kill snakes, especially the women since they're the ones who are mostly at home while the husbands are away working... grin grin grin... Already got stung by scorpions on four occasions.

One time I mistakenly stepped on a baby cobra while I was seated outside during one hot evening, I was busy on my phone, I didn't see it coming my way, but I fortunately managed to escape before I got bitten.

My grandmother once told me that when you kill a snake, you must aim for the head.

First time it happened, it was just me and my sister in the house, we asked our neighbour for help, but he told us he was afraid of snakes... We had to do something about it because we couldn't just sit in the house with a snake in our yard, so I ended up killing it myself, but I first changed into something long and thick, then wore my grandfather's boots as a protective gear in case the snake struck back... grin grin grin

Yeah, killed one in our sitting room when I was probably a teenager, a very short, white and noisy snake..... I didn't know snakes can be white, short and noisy creatures. Was later told it was an ultra venomous little sh*t.
