What kind of life has he been living that disconnected him from his relatives. I think this is the best time they could have show up for him if he is in their good book. If he truly loves that child ,he needs to return her to the orphanage or hire a nanny , he obviously can't do it alone.

However, others have called him out for seeking a woman just to turn her into a caregiver for his child.
