At what age should a man or woman stop relying on their parents/relatives for basic needs?

Well, he's not yet a man, if he still depends on parents and relatives for sustenance.
Depending on the background he had while growing up, 22 - 24yrs (Basically, if he went to university, don't go back home after Youth Service 😝).

No, it's not easy. But you have to get up and face the reality that nobody is coming to save you. You're saying admission is hard, some of us didn't even have who will sponsor us to university at all. At the age I mentioned many have already left home to fend for themselves. But here we are today, we graduated, we've never broken the law to get where we are. We're not where we want to be, but we're hustling daily and not giving up.

So, I'm talking from experience.
