I’m curious though, for someone working remotely, which of these areas do you think balances affordability with good internet access and reasonable commute options?

I reside in Ayobo, Ipaja, and I agree with your post. While it’s possible to find a 2-bedroom apartment for less in some inner areas, electricity supply is stable in my location and internet connectivity is very reliable. I work remotely, which is a major reason I moved to this area.
I am in a private estate inside Abesan estate gate ipaja, you ll not see anyone less than 1.3/.5m

Re: Top 10 Cheapest Areas To Rent A Two-bedroom Apartment In Lagos (2026) by kernniejay(m): 8:58am On Feb 05
I slightly disagree with you from No. 5 up to No. 10. House rent in all those places you mentioned for 2 bedroom are higher than what you quoted except you are working with old data or you are talking about just room and parlour self contain.
One room mini flat alone in Mushin or Oshodi is around 1.5m, in Festac a good one is around 2.0m. Two bedroom in those places I mentioned starts from 2million upward.

Festac is not correct.

Ojo can be higher or even lower it depends.

Badagry will be lower too depending on where in badagry.

Well, that is Nigerian style of communication and we are proud of it. Are you aware that Oxford dictionary has now included some Nigerian words into its collection? This proves how fast Nigerian communication is growing round the world and becoming globally acceptable.

This guy is just looking for engagement, the houses with the rent listed above are not with POP and state of the art materials, the least you can see with the above is 1.5M excluding agency and commission.

So stop deceiving people with fake prices,Lagos is not for the weak ooo,no let anybody deceive you.

You have to work hard to enjoy good houses in Lagos

Misplaced priorities, you should be asking which area has the best electricity supply? Since you’re working remote
