After all the adrenaline and exuberance.
Looking back at that Lookman chance, he should have passed.

Had he missed.
I have said it severally
Lookman doesn't pass when he gets into those positions. His instinct is to shoot or try to dribble to find space to shoot
That's his way of playing, and it works for him
Man is a deadly finisher

He isn’t as deadly as you think
He missed a one on one
Missed 2 chances before the 3rd resulted in a goal
Let’s be honest
Watch the game or the highlights

Lookman decides to do with the ball what he wants to do before the ball comes to him.

Once he tucks his head down, he locks in and zones out everybody. What is left is just him and the ball and he will not pass the ball. It's either he scores or flunks the opportunity.

He's very deadly. His type of goal I like is the one he pops out of no where and boom! It's a goal.

Like the goal he scored against Angola, the first goal he scored at that Europa final, the one he scored against Mozambique.

There are certain goals unique to him. Only Lookman can score certain types of goals for us. Like that goal he scored against Tanzania.

I come dey ask myself question: na where this boy learn to play ball so?

Deadly strikers don't miss one on one?

They even miss open goal. Doesn't detract from their deadliness

I remember this game but not this highlight which showed we played a very good game against an ever strong Senegalese team, who was our coach here?

Hope you won’t be dragged for this sha 😂

What you said is true about those missed chances but it may be due to being his first time in Atletico shirt which will come with pressure

I think it was even 3 chances missed, if we count the one where the defender blocked his shot

That Europa final announced him finally to the world and it’s been a blast for him since then

Why am happy for him is because it happened as he rose within the national team sending a strong message that playing for Nigeria can make you a global icon!

All fifa and uefa social media pages have been using our guy to farm engagement they don use Ademola hammer within few days omo. The Nigerian brand is huge and heavily underrated

In signing Lookman, Athletico didn't just get a player, they got an entire nation.
Nigeria is big on social media and European clubs with Nigerian players always farm Nigerian engagement. Even opponents of clubs with Nigerian players try to benefit from the naija engagement.

This is Real Betis posting Ademola Lookman on their socials with Nigerian hashtags just before their Copa Del Rey match against Athletico, and telling their fans to greet him. And guess what, the post was in Naija pidgin. .....

Oliseh said he’s the best player in the super eagles
People seem to forget how Nigeria plays in important games without Osimhen on the pitch lol
I didn’t see Lookman do anything against DRC o
Chukwueze can play to a similar level the role Lookman plays for Nigeria
Although Lookman was the only one that made a serious push for goal against Morocco, he had our only threatening chance that was saved by Bonou
Osimhen plays below his level when he’s captain and has to worry about his teammates & the referee instead of focusing on getting goals

My brother
Some players are good but grossly underrated
I guess that Southampton move contributed
But under our previous coaches, he just wasn't it
Given our current system under Chelle, I don't think Onuachu will go 3-4 games without scoring, if he starts
We create chances like water now

AFCON 2023 was a physically demanding tournament no doubt plus the pitches weren't as pristine as the ones in Morocco.
afcon 2027 will go back to physical again
