As the 39th African Union Summit opens in Addis Ababa next week, its primary theme, “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063”, represents a profound contract between Africa’s leaders and its people. It is a pledge to safeguard the most fundamental resource for life, dignity, and development. Yet, this contract is being rendered void by a concurrent, unchecked crisis: the trafficking of Africa’s other vital resource, its human capital, its youth, into exploitation and oblivion abroad. The summit’s focus on water security highlights a devastating irony; while the African Union (AU) strategises on preserving one essential resource, a predatory system is actively draining another, writes Seunmanuel Faleye.Source! https://applesbite.com/exclusive-39th-african-union-summit-matters-arising-a-continents-future-on-the-line/

Nothing will come ofthis one like the previous summits. It's all slogans and vibes but no action. I wish this useless organization can be disbanded ,it's too compromised with both the East and West influencing it heavily. |

The African Union should stop meeting and be disbanded.. None of their resolutions have been implemented in the last 5 years. They are useless. Serious countries should pull out.. |

Dalohad:I agree with you. What happened to open boarders and people living anywhere they want in Africa soil? What happened to single currency and one passport ? These people are jokers. Nothing ever good comes from that union of greedy looters . |

Evilthoughts:What you're asking for will never be allowed by a fraction of functioning African states. If you were Morrococan ,South African, Egyptian Or from Seychelles or Mauritius would you want open borders or one African passport when your own passport has more value ? . They will never agree ,so those are just slogans and daydreaming from your part . |

Ihaveleftnaija:We don't care if they will not want, this is Africa we cannot be dictated to by a minority of countries on our own soil. If they don't want to be part if Africa let them leave the continent for us. Rubbish. |

Evilthoughts:Nobody is dictating to Africa. Countries are simply protecting what they’ve built. Wanting everyone to lower their standards instead of raising ours is evil. So Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, Mauritius and Seychelles will just pack Africa into a Ghana-Must-Go bag and relocate by Monday morning. International relations solved. 👏 |

The problem is that most of African leaders are either puppets or have old school thinking. They are old, how can someone who will not be alive in 20 years time be thinking of 63? Let's stop wasting our time. |

The meeting of European spys. No outcome of the useless meeting has ever been fruitful. After the meeting most of the leaders will surely brief their masters and sabotage whatever is discussed. That thing should be disband abeg! |
