How about their management fees?
Re: Mutual Funds by LoriHamo: 1:33pm On Feb 07
Please where do you get their daily rate?

I will be porting my 5M from Stanbic on Monday....

I have only about 110k in their MMF....

But I only know rate when I go to the bank and decide to ask

Ensol:
Yeah, 76k return till date on their MMF, don’t know if others would have yielded 100k on 5m

While setting up, you will have opportunity to write your narration and more so it's a personal account.
You can also inform your account officer immediately the transaction is successful on any day you chose for the auto debit on your account.

For investment one, try to be checking your mail from monday next week to get update from them.
Check both inbox and junk.

Reach out to me if you need further guidance
Please does norrenberger compound monthly?
Re: Mutual Funds by Ensol(f): 1:57pm On Feb 07
https://app.gtfundmanagers.com/ or if you bank with them, your GTB mobile app has both banking and investment init
Re: Mutual Funds by geoeast: 2:00pm On Feb 07
I doubt. Some fund managers rate will still be higher than some
Iamblessed88:
Well good point lol. Come 23rd after the MPR is slashed at the MPC, we will have uniform low rates across the board.

No other mmf would have yielded 100k on 5m capital for a month. To yield such amount would mean consistent 24% interest rate on capital.

At Norrenberger, interest is earned daily but compounded quarterly. This is the norm in the industry; only Stanbic compounds at the end of the month.

Please note that the displayed rate for GT MMF is gross, not net. Quarterly compounding of accrued interest is the norm in the industry. Only Stanbic does monthly.

Creditalerts:
Yes you can withdraw your fund anytime no lock period but interest rate are paid quarterly for now since the beginning of this quarter trustbanc is doing well I noticed them 4th quarter of 2025

Cowrywise is very good you can monitor your daily accrued interest and the app is seamless 🙂 but trustbanc app is also nice but I prefer Cowrywise so u can ask for my referral code 😉
Appreciate the feedback.

On referral code, I already have an account so may already be too late to do that.

Thanks all the same.
Re: Mutual Funds by djavo(m): 7:14pm On Feb 07
If GT MMF , is showing 17.59% Gross. What will the Net percentage be? Curious mind.

That is good, but it's a good practice to have more than one fund manager.
Re: Mutual Funds by lovewins: 8:05pm On Feb 07
New to the thread, but curious as to why there's little mention of Risevest Naira Vault. Used to be 25% but currently offers 22%. Is there a reason why it isn't very popular here?

As of late January 2025, the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has not approved Risevest (Risevest Technologies Limited or Risevest Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited) to operate in the Nigerian capital market.
SEC Warning (Jan 2025): The SEC issued a notice identifying Risevest as an unregistered entity and advised the public to refrain from engaging with it due to high fraud risks.
Risevest's Position: Risevest claims its Cooperative Society is registered under Lagos State laws and its Nigerian operations are supported by licensed partners like Meristem Trustees Limited and Chaka Technologies Limited.
Safety of Funds: The SEC has classified Risevest as an illegal operator, despite Risevest's assertions of compliance and safety
.

As far as I'm concerned any non sec approved is a ponzi scheme

One thing for sure, you will soon get poached by referral code hunters to help you invest via their direct link which is legit but let me give you some tips first.

Mutual funds is like you saving your money and earning interest daily both on weekends and holidays. It's safe and whichever Asset management firm that get pitched to you here is legit.

Secondly, mutual funds enable compounding meaning, your 10Million will compound a whole lot but then again, that's you really preserving and growing wealth while you sleep with both eyes close.

Now this is me suggesting not invest all 10 million into mutual funds, maybe 7 Million and invest 3 million into fixed income fund especially that of CardinalStone fixed income fund alpha.

You will be glad you did after MMF rates dips later in the year.

However, if you decide you want to go all in into mutual funds with the 10 million, split it in 2 and invest 5M in Cowrywise Trustbanc mutual funds and the other 5M into Stanbic

Why?

Stanbic compound monthly but MMF via cowrywise enable moving fund around within the app to buy the MMF with the highest rate in the event that rate change by different MMF providers on the cowrywise app.

Trust me, I can bet you, if you let yourself to be talked into investing all your money into one asset management, you will come back here later to ask question like: "Guys, how can I sign up with Cowrywise?"

I also have YouTube channel that can further open your eyes to other types of safe investment, Disregard stocks in the channel, you still a newbie.

I don't don't know for piggy but CardinalStone is open ended fund meaning you can terminate your investment at anytime, however, your interest will not be paid in full, if you quit the investment before the first 90 days of investment. Just like MMF does.
Re: Mutual Funds by enque(f): 9:07am On Feb 08
For piggy
365 days - 17% (you can take ur interest upfront)
366 days and above - from 20% (you get interest at maturity)
10% WHT is also applied

while you are new seeking knowledge about MMF, I see you are being courted so to be registered with mentors referral code.

My advice to you is, after registration to (supposedly Stanbic or Norrenberger), do not stick with that one MMF, split your money to different MMF paying higher yield.

My advice is 60% of your fund in Stanbic and 40% sent to cowrywise app to invest in Trustbanc MMF.

If Trustbanc stops being the highest in cowrywise, you can easily switch to the new highest paying mmf right in the cowrywise app.
Bro do u have foreign app porfolios like cowrise using MMf for stocks like USA apple shares Facebook shares amazon shares?

Use standard chartered bank for foreign mutual funds

Note: foreign mutual funds do not guarantee protection of capital like naira mmfs

Risevest and their dollar and naira offerings, including the referenced Naira vault have been around for a while now. I have been using Risevest for some years now and they've been very consistent and prompt with payment and dealings.
Yes, there were issues with SEC earlier and SEC issued the warning as stated above. This was because Risevest forayed into naira offerings (from the wholly dollar investments they started with). However, Risevest acquired Chaka Technologies which is SEC approved back in 2023 and their Naira vault is currently powered and operated by Chaka.
Going further, Risevest has now obtained SEC approval for her operations. This was announced last week and an official communication will be made soon.

It is ok to promote Trustbanc because of the 19% rate but not by trying to make Stanbic look like trash. They are not on the same level.

Trustbanc's MMF is that high because they are looking for more customers while Stanbic is at the top of the "food chain" with NAV of 2.4T. That is almost 50% of the entire money market.
