That's not true.
This girl is 18years old and she must have gotten married at early age below 18. This is very common in Northern Nigeria.
She must have been experiencing torture and abuse from the husband. When things like this happens, we tend to blame the gender in skirt and ignore possible events that could have led to that action.

From "gender agenda", 76% of underage housewives in North experience abuse from all angles from the so called husbands. 16% lost their lives in the abuse.
This is why government is clamouring for equal rights when it comes to women in the society.
