Neddstark:You see this una African mentality go fade very fast because it lack substance. Go and do your research and see how life used to be in Nigeria some 80 years ago. you are just wasting your time promoting man made traditions that will certainly fade away, but the main values of ethics, personal education and development you people ignore them And you know what will be will surely be 100 years or 200 years after we all died. I don't need to preach it |

ComingKing:Believe in him and have your everlasting life, simple. Is that difficult? I don't think so It is something you have already. If it is something you have already, what is then the place of tattoo and dreadlocks? How does tattoo affect your salvation? Absolutely nothing. So just leave people who want to tattoo or deadlock let them be. It's a free world |

AMI3:Gambling includes bettins, lottos, predictions, etc all for money in the midst of uncertainties without business transaction! Why are Christians not following chapters like Deuteronomy 20 that describes how to go to war? |

cutecommend:What is the emphasis on 'born again'? Is there a Christian that is not born again? What is the meaning of 'born again' Christian? What is the difference between a Christian that is a 'born again' and the Christian that is not a 'born again'? Can there be a Christian that is not 'born again'? Were there Christians in Anthioch that were not born again? Anyone whom the LORD has converted into his way is free from the Satan's chokehold. We walk in liberty not in bondage. Whatever you do in your flesh will be paid in your flesh, this is the law. born again! born again! born again! What is the meaning of born again? |

AntiChristian:What makes makes gambling a sin is when it affects other person. Example if your child is need of school fees of 20k instead of of u to use that 20k to pay for ur child school fees u used it for gambling that is a sin. But if u use 100 naira to gamble instead of using the money to drink and it doesn't affect any member of your family it is not a sin. We gamble in various ways and anything u do in excess is a sin even the food u eat. Over feeding or wasting food can be a sin. Coming to old testament since Christ came to the world he abolished so many things that was being established in the old testament. In old testament there is a particular portion that says an eye for an eye. But Jesus says no rather if somebody slapped u in one cheek turn the other cheek for the person. How will you feel if Christians practice an eye for an eye system. |

i think a pastor should not do that but on the other hand, he has the choice being an Adult, that should not stop his spiritual life |

Tochi360:Their kpaying was a lesson that is why you never see it again. The road to salvation includes work and Peter, Paul and James did state so. It is you who must change yourself and flee with your own legs from fornications and adulteries, and drunkenness and tatoos. That is the proof you believe because "he does not believe that does not live according to his belief" Sigmund Freud |

paxonel:No Salvation affect the decision to get tattoo. Tattoo has never been associated with anything Godly, so why should a Christian get tattoos |

Dtruthspeaker:Where on earth did you read in the Bible dat Salvation is by works? Did you not read plainly that by works shall no man be justified ?? James was talking about doing the good work of God as evidence of Faith not self righteousness works, works like caring and loving your neigbors, the needy, less priviledge are the works that prove your faith not religious rasmatas and dogmas. Salvation is a GIFT not of works or deeds less any should boast. If it is by works , be rest assured that the average Hindus and monk will attain it before a good number of Chritians for they seek absolute self righteousness agenda. If you hold onto salvation by works then you have shifted to the side of the law and have no right to call yourself a Christian. So what works did the thief on the cross who Jesus took to heaven do to deserve entering into the Kingdom of God? We have so many hypocritical spiritually miserable two faced Christians bcus people have preached a distorted Gospel created in the minds of legalistic wannabe men who seek to put a control measure on people to comform to the morality they have created in their mind. Have you kept all 613 laws? If you fail one, you have failed everything, dont be hypocritical, man can never do enough or be good enough to deserve Salvation. You are saved by nothing else but by the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST which was given by the Grace of God. What God requires from you after Salvation is to behold Jesus Christ as in a mirror so you can be changed into His image, how do you behold Christ? By selling yourself to the WORD of God, this is how true change comes from within. You obviously have not read Apostle Paul's letter, He was very constant with Salvation by absolute Grace and Faith in Jesus Christ, zero works. Infact He says in his letter to the Galatians, "if you seek to add works to your salvation, you have fallen from Grace. If your works can earn you Salvation why then was the sacrifice on the cross necessary?? Seek to follow God in the spirit not religious rasmatas. |

Tochi360:I said "The road to salvation includes work" and you have even admitted it in saying "doing the good work of God as evidence of Faith...works like caring and loving your neigbors, the needy, less priviledge are the works" So in the end you still confirmed what i said that the road to salvation includes work. And in addition to all the works you mentioned the Bible explicitly stated that fleeing from fornications and adulteries, and drunkenness and tattoos are all works which you must do to obtain salvation or do you deny that this is not stated? And based on your idea of what works are, then you ought to see that the thief on the cross still did work and obtained salvation. |

Dtruthspeaker:And how does doing this good works relate to your tattoo story . |
| Re: Should Born Again Christians Have Tattoos And Dreadlocks? by Dtruthspeaker: 1:53pm On Feb 10 |
Tochi360:Because Philippians 4:8 also states the works we should do/not do. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. So, by Philippians 4, the outright condemnation of this tattoo proves it is not a thing that is seen as pure, virtuous or of good report. |
