Ashamed at what this thread has become. How did we become an “i better pass my neighbor thread?”

Typical Nigerian mentality - i am not blessed untill i am doing better than my neighbors.

This new wave is all being led my creditalerts. Shame. I can already tell your type in real life
Re: Mutual Funds by tempest12:
Indeed... Spamming the thread is an inspiration to you.
People with real money in investments or having good knowledge about investment don't make noise. They get busy with other things and comments only when necessary maturedly. Professionals like Emmasoft, Beeron and etal.

ezegold4we:
@tempest12, you have got no reason using those harsh word's on CREDIALERTS, that guy and other's here has has been a source of encouragement, direction, motivation and inspiration to lot's of people on this platform,

We should learn how to appreciate people with good heart instead of trying to attack them.

Well I’m all for maximizing returns too, but I think this platform benefits more from a variety of options than consistently focusing on one fund. I understand the intention is likely to help people earn stronger returns, which I fully support. I’ve made similar arguments myself in my past posts, but I’ve avoided promoting any specific fund in order to keep this thread evergreen for future readers. This thread will outlive current market realities afterall. It’s a fact we should be mindful of when fronting funds.

Some of the best money market funds in Nigeria with strong recent performance include TrustBanc, Meristem, ARM, Chapel Hill Denham, and funds from asset managers like CardinalStone, Anchoria, Ecobank, and FBNQuest, known for high yields and capital preservation, with options like Stanbic IBTC and GT Money Market Fund offering conservative, low-risk choices with competitive returns and easy accessibility for various investor goals.

Top Performers & Popular Choices (Based on Recent Data)🙂
TrustBanc Money Market Fund: Shows high recent returns.
Meristem Money Market Fund: Consistently appears on top lists with strong yields.
ARM Money Market Fund: A large fund with high investor confidence and low entry points.
Chapel Hill Denham Money Market Fund: Another highly-rated option.
CardinalStone Money Market Fund: Cited for excellent returns.
FBNQuest Money Market Fund: A reliable choice from a major institution.
GT Money Market Fund: Low-risk, competitive returns with quarterly dividends.
Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund: Conservative, bank-backed with consistent returns, ideal for capital preservation.

Stick with the one that help you meet your investment objective after your due diligence.

Since you already funded them, continue the test run, in a short while your choice will be obvious from experience.

I will also advise you to read some of my earlier posts and from others on this thread to learn more about mutual funds particularly MMF.
You will be fine.

How does filing of tax returns before 31st March 2026 affect those of us that rely on earnings from mmf?

If it was before, I would suggest you stick with the top 3 biggest which are; Stanbic, United Capital and FBN. But with the new knowledge I have of how lazy some of these fund managers can be, taking advantage of their huge fund to earn from margin spread instead of doing the real hard work for investors to earn more, I will suggest you treat all of them like stocks.

Keep rotating your money amongst them hunting for the one that pays the highest returns per quarter.

One thing I have come to notice of late is; when an asset management manages fund across many investments, their mutual funds tends to suffer because they don't pay more attention to it.

Who is seeing this update that Cowrywise just introduced? or is it just me? you cannot select individual funds to invest in again, it now comes as a basket of different funds.

Yes, mine is still there and I can top up also. I think the new update is only applicable to new investments.

I'll miss being able to move funds around in the cowrywise market without having to withdraw into my bank. That feature is so convenient kai

I topped up 100k yesterday for Afrinvest Equity....if they mistakenly try that rubbish....I am pulling out the 100K.....

I get the feeling this is aimed at satisfying the other providers with little or no subscription on their platform. people have just decided to go for the higher rates so they probably had to do something to bring patronage toward those ones too...maybe a condition to allow listing on their platform( this is purely speculation). I hope this does not backfire on them

What's worse even is, there's no way to see the individual rates of these fund managers. This is one very ridiculous update
