Enugu State Forest Guards Sing As Training Continues by Tabithatim(op): 6:09am On Feb 10
Enugu State Forest Guards undergoing continuous professional training. The rising morale, commitment and discipline are palpable.
Through sustained investment in security, Governor Mbah has restored calm and stability to forests and rural communities that were once fragile.
Enugu is safe and open for business.

There are also bad eggs among these guards. Some will later turn kidnappers, armed robbers and even terrorists. Finding solutions to this insecurity problem will definitely create another problem. God help us ooo

This is worthy of emulation. The south east are gradually getting it right when it comes to state governance; Alex Otti of Abia, Charles Soludo of Anambra (who may become the first Igbo president in Nigeria) and now Enugu state governor..

The SS and SW governors should continue playing around on insecurity...

That is why totally contracting the combatting of these terrorists to a good security outfit of a working country is the best approach.

This thing about forest guards is not really a bright idea.

Government should consider clearing bushes and forests up to 1 kilometre on both sides of major roads using heavy equipment like caterpillars.
This will improve visibility, reduce criminal hideouts, and enhance road safety.
The cleared land can then be allocated for farming low-growing crops (under 30cm) such as pepper and tomatoes, ensuring security while supporting food production.

So destruction of natural vegatation is the way to go? What happened to fixing the other lying cause? People have been kidnapped from their homes too how do you fix that? Some from schools are about that?

When they government are committed to solving it they will. For now they are using it as a political tool
Re: Enugu State Forest Guards Sing As Training Continues by Farmsolution: 6:50am On Feb 10
It is well in Nigeria. They will leave he solution and create another problem. Why not create state policy or employ more police men or more civil defense men. Why create another level of uniform men to do the day job others are already trained to do or creating new structures. I wish them safety cos I know those guys are supposed to be wiped out but will Nigeria government allow that ?
Re: Enugu State Forest Guards Sing As Training Continues by Schprobs: 6:50am On Feb 10

When State Policing is established, they can be converted. But for now, let them secure the forests and hunt for wild animals. The latter will be their side hustle grin

We shall overcome
Re: Enugu State Forest Guards Sing As Training Continues by HighChiefZino: 7:43am On Feb 10
But this was what one prophet said long time ago, about forming of forest guards to protect forests in Southern region and even in the North. They are currently all adopting his idea, yet he is the evil one that needs to be locked in Sokoto prisons. The heart of men are indeed desperately wicked.
