One of the reasons I have an apathy for honda till this day. Though they fixed this issue with the 2013 Accord onwards. My 2006 DC then show me pepper even with all my care and maintenance habit.

If you use this car, you need to have sensitive ears and a good preventive maintenance culture.

Listen for the warning signs and always have your wheels checked routinely. I do not believe this happens spontaneously

it happens because the owner is managing the car. as a car owner you should pay attention to the sounds coming from your car. dont wait for a catastrophic failure

this applies to any and all cars. you must always pay attention. otherwise your car may fail you at the wrong place and wrong time.

Only ignorant people drive Hondas of this series. Bow joint wahala na their culture; it can go off any time when you least expect it. Honda company battled with this manufacturing defect , but i dont know if they have fixed it in the latest series of their product. They make fine cars, but BJ, mehnnnn, they still de learn am.

That is because the Nigerian mechanic have deviced the "Nigerian way" to replace ball joint which is not proper.

The ball joint is attached to the lower arm of the vehicle. With a faulty/clunky ball joint the standard procedure is to replace the complete "lower arm" that actually comes with a ball joint.
What we have in naija is so many individuals selling different grades of "quality" ball joint which will not solve the truck.
If you have a Honda with a ball joint sound, change the Lower arm with an eom part.
Do let your mechanic to keep hitting and replacing ball joint. You are only expand the joint socket obviously giving room to the inevitable.

My 2012 has never experienced this 👎🏻

so sorry,I,ve used the same 010 Honda coupe since 2021 ,and I only change oil,buy fuel ,tyres and renew my papers ..kpele 🤗

This issue was resolved from 2013(9th generation) accord upwards.

This particular Honda is known for such things but it has been corrected with the later ones..

I used Honda civic for more than 8 years before given it out to my sister. I never experienced such with that Honda.

Brother, you are using new parts which are usually substandard. No matter how new it looks, the material specification is hardly right. We really don't have OEM parts in Nigeria, if you see them they are usually expensive, so you will keep in having that issue if you are buying new parts. The solution in this country is to always buy tokunbo as those ones are original parts from cannibalized vehicle. I use to have the same issue until I switched to tokunbo and have not had it for years now.

Eight out of 10 incidence are Honda. Witnessed a guy Honda accord experienced such incidence on saturday at Yabatech, the guy was just laughing.

How many have your used talk of Honda and what's your maintenance culture? I have used all series of Honda. presently, a 2016 and not once have I experienced this.

Toyota and benz do. Is all about preventive maintenance

Acura and Honda are from the same company, just like Lexus and Toyota. Acura is the Luxury version of Honda and use the same chassis.

It's just pure lack of maintenance from d users, B4 it goes to this level, the car would have given some signs, it's left for d owner to notice it

In otherwords, if it happens when fast, it typically leads to a catastrophic accident involving the vehicle summersaulting and people usually wouldn't realise that this was the cause.

Meanwhile it will always give you a sign but we as Nigerians and our make we manage am mentality will not allow to us to go to musiliu for repairs

Once you're driving a honda and while taking sharp bends or after turning your steering you move and hear a clunking noise (kakakakaka) omo... Your ball joints are crying...small thing they go weep down your tyres. New models don't have these issues now though

I think it is poor maintenance culture. I drove my EOD for almost 8 years and never had this issue. Regular maintenance is the key.

Mine don it once,after changing it it has never happened again

I witness one lexus, Rx 300 and a GLK Benz same day , last two Sundays.
On monday 2nd Feb. evening, it another Lexus again IS 250.

I always wonder why this is so. Maybe because of Honda's superior AC system, and the weather of the north.

If Honda has
- durable engines
- very nice interior,
- add superb AC

then the North got good roads, why wont Honda be the best.
