It's wisdom to buy during glut when there is money. A family close to me buy tomatoes and pepper for a year. We bought enough for 6 months.
For 1 year you say

Lamba!

It's beautiful how no one mentioned the government or Tinubu or APC. The hypocrisy is when it's even just 2% the other way around. People would have been here threatening to burn down the country and all.

This is the kind of Economic/ Food Information - that the NIGERIANS Need,
Not Politics now and then, that Politicians and their Footsoldiers - are always spewing on the Social Media - as if Na Food be that!
• However,Did You Know that Southerners-Can Cultivate and Plant ☘️ All these Tomatoes and Pepper 🌶️🫑,with Ease But We are Lazy - only given Excuses.
• Can you See Further How Cheap these Items Are In the North ⬆️ but is being Sold Excessively To The Southerners,
•Just see a Bag as Low As N4000 Or N5000?
Southerners-Should Wake-Up from Slumber.
• States and Local Govt - Should Be Massively Be Involved - But What Do we See,
- Budgets Without Performance,
•Nothing To Encourage The Youths , These Should Be Emoluments For the Jobless Youths,
By Paying Them Good Money,
- WE are Very Corrupt, indeed, because We are Not Intentional- in Feeding The Country - •THROUGH AGRICULTURE IN NIGERIA, ESPECIALLY THE SOUTHERN POLITICIANS ( FEDERAL,STATES AND LOCAL GOVT),
-ARE ALL INVOLVED IN DOING LESS IN THIS CRITICAL SECTOR - The Agricultural Developments.
In the South,Many zif The Lands have been Illegally Converted to Building Houses - to make Cheap Money for the Politicians!

We sun dry our scotch bonnet and bell pepper (I have a bag of each currently undergoing the process) and store them for when they're out of season. All you need to do when it's time to use them, is to fetch and put in warm water and they spring back to life in few minutes. For tomatoes, it's boiling and home canning in airtight Bama bottles and store. It last up to a year.

Here in Bauchi, it is almost guaranteed we no go see single drop of rain from ending October till around March/April. And that is when the sun is scorching hot and the wind dry. It doesn't take a week for them to get crispy dry over here.

This is the impact of the government policies, you guys are quick to judge but won't give credit to the right mechanism that influence such drastic drop in food prices across the country.

That's the beautiful thing about the North that I love. They're technically feeding the nation with agricultural produce.

They produce it, so it makes sense that it's very cheap there.

Here in the South, with our so called fertile ground we don't product anything at an industrial scale like these folks. Last time, I bought roughly 7 seeds of not-so-big tomatoe size for #500.

Edit::
Some people have taken it upon themselves to mention me and school me on how the North isn't feeding the nation. If we check, I'm more Southern than you guys. I call a spade a spade. Just as the South finances the nation with oil, the North feeds us.

Feed the south how?

I buy the tomatoes and peppers with my hard earned money! The south can afford to import these food items.while the oil and gas money is shared freely to the North on a monthly basis. Are you ok?

And with your semi-literate level of understanding and knowledge, because you have a phone and can put letters together, you are telling yourself that the North I buy from, feeds me.

When everything I buy from the North can be imported at a cheaper rate and oil money is given to the North free of charge to marry 4 wives and buy cars.

Wouldn't it be cheaper for you to just buy the seeds directly than extracting?

Wow! Buy why is it always at a particular point in a year that the prices always go up, and then come down again and later to go up to continue in that cycle?
tetralogyfallot:
This crate of fresh tomatoes goes for just N4000

Ègbón Tinubu. The bible says prove all things, and hold on fast to what is true. When you have two chest-deep freezers, with over 200 litres capacity, you can store a lot. The purpose is not for you to believe.
