Nextjs:How do you expect Obj to have scuppered the introduction of sharia int our secular country when afew years before the election, he was languishing in jail, on death row. The same folks that jailed him on trumped-up charges were the same ones that took him outta prison and into aso rock! Obj was practically a fulani stooge in 1999. The constitution Obj read at his inauguration was fake and new to him, drafted by abubakar- the military dictator who took over from abacha. Basically, the 1999 election was supposed to compensate the Sw following Abiola's death at the hands of the same folks up north, who felt they won't br able to control an Abiolas presidency. So, they made Obj an offer he would be silly to refuse -either rot in jail or be President. |

Putindbutt:Stop being economical with the truth. Obasanjo did his best as a new comer into democracy. Go ahead and blame your evil leaders who took over from him. He also helped to address the issue of boko haram when yusuf was caught but your government killed the guy which later bated boko haram. You won't talk about how sharia was snuggled into the constitution of a secular country while entrenching it's implementation even till down south. Abi were you not alive when a moslems moslems thicket was made . So they how and when did obasanjo caused the issue |

osuofia2:. There are 12 Sharia states and the Kano State House of assembly voted for it too so why will Kwakwanso be blamed for what even Saudi Arabia a great US ally is doing? Kwakwanso didn't start the Sharia |

Christistruth03:Jeehaard have no place in modern society, stop comparing Nigeria with Saudi Arabia, Nigeria is a secular state and not an islamic country, Saudi is an islamic country |
| Re: There Would Be No Exemptions From Sharia - Gov Musa Kwankwaso (Throwback) by Pierocash(m): 8:37am On Feb 13 |
P1PrinceKT:Saudi doesn't have two laws, they operate simply Sharia law because it is purely an Islamic country. Secondly, they are not killing Christians simply because of Sharia. Christians in Saudi Arabia have more religious freedom , and are safer than Christians in northern NIGERIA. NIGERIA is not and Islamic country, it is a circular Nation. But this Sharia extremists want to convert it to an Islamic Nation at all cost , trying to lord Sharia on everyone, reason for the attacks on Christians you see. NIGERIA is a circular Nation with Constitution that governs everyone , there should not have been anything like Sharia law at all .no nation operates two laws. But northern NIGERIA are forcing two laws on everyone. Sharia law in modem Islamic society should have only be limited to their religious circle of moral teaching, resolving disputes on marriages and customs. But they used it as a replacement for national Constitution on every issue and pronouncing verdicts and punishment on offenders , they go as far as cutting off someone's hand, stoning people to death etc. These are criminal offences in a circular Nation like Nigeria. it is pure madness |

osuofia2:Kano is a Muslim Society The same ndigenous right You had to sit home every Monday is the same they had to decide their cultural law what they cannot do is impose it on others |

Christistruth03:Kano is in Nigeria and not a country of its own, Kano uses Nigerian Constitution. The case of Deborah in sokoto is still fresh in our memories, she is a Christian but because of the Sharia in place there she was killed. |
| Re: There Would Be No Exemptions From Sharia - Gov Musa Kwankwaso (Throwback) by Christistruth03: 8:51am On Feb 13*. Modified: 9:08am On Feb 13 |
osuofia2:SE is in Nigeria And it is against the same Nigerian Constitution to force people to sit at home every Monday and people were kpai for refusing to sit at home Sitting at home every Monday was your own indigenous decision but you couldn't impose it on others if you had followed the Constitution The Constitution was derived from Ironsi's unitary Constitution It was not the one the North Negotiated for independence that had each region having a different Constitution that suited it for its people The British allowed the North to have a different Constitution from the East or West because they understood that the Nigerian people and their Cultures were different |
| Re: There Would Be No Exemptions From Sharia - Gov Musa Kwankwaso (Throwback) by osuofia2(m): 9:07am On Feb 13 |
Christistruth03:Sit at home in the South East is one of the most dumbest thing in this millennium, It has added nothing to the progress and development of the SE and Nigeria at last, so like wise the Shariah law. Shariah have kept the North backward compare to other part of Nigeria, the level of illiteracy and poverty and insecurity can be attributed to Shariah. There is no benefit of Sharia in northern Nigeria. |
| Re: There Would Be No Exemptions From Sharia - Gov Musa Kwankwaso (Throwback) by Christistruth03: 9:13am On Feb 13 |
osuofia2:Both of them were the decisions of the indigenous people based on their own Cultures |
| Re: There Would Be No Exemptions From Sharia - Gov Musa Kwankwaso (Throwback) by osuofia2(m): 9:15am On Feb 13 |
Christistruth03:Nothing cultural about sit at home or Sharia, learn to call a spade a spade unless you want to tell me the 5 benefits of Sharia since it was imposed on the North. |
