Honestly, Fayose was right, though not all Igbos does that. Some want political relevance in Nigeria of today and so ready to jump into the river to catch the fish that will produce Caesar's coin to pay the tax. Remember President Tinubu is said to be a master strategist, he is doing what he knows how to do best.

This guy is seriously seeking for attention but he's getting none.

Let me respond to the second paragraph only and I will do that with a question.

Why do you think the North decided that a Yoruba man must be president in 1999?
Two of the major parties then had Yoruba men as presidential candidates.. The north knew the country will be hot if they don't pacify the Yorubas following the death of Abiola..
What you people call cowardice by the Yorubas is diplomatic warfare. Whereas your constant chant of wars from the pre-civil war till date is seen as barking dogs.
Note that I'm not in support of Peter Fayose, that's his opinion but you don't have to come for his whole tribe
Which kind cut and join history is this bayi? It was not the North that chose Yoruba in 1999, it was Alex Ekwueme. Ekwueme was handed the PDP presidential ticket but he rejected it and instead handpicked OBJ to be the party flag bearer in order to pacify the Yoruba after the June 12 wahala.
Obj became party flag bearer because Alex Ekwueme, an Igbo man, chose him over his own ambitions.

Haa.. I deliberately gave you a nairaland link so that you can see the primaries result of the pdp in 1999 yourself . The plan was to pacify the Yorubas, Alex was just jumping (That's one of the men that inspire me in life though. I admire and a huge fan of his lifestyle. May Ekwueme soul continue to rest in peace)

So, get your facts right

The fact however is that Igbos are as united as any other group and are not more easily bought with money than others.

No group in Nigeria has the numbers to do it alone and of the three big groups Igbos have the lowest voting power by far. Those are the issues. However the SE is gaining more from Nigeria than other zones because the population is less than or around ten percent of the total but they get far more than that in federal allocations and appointments as well as siting of projects. That is a gain. The only gain the Yoruba have in Nigeria is that Lagos is leading the economy. On other fronts all is shortage for the Yoruba. What Hausa is gaining is oil money.

There is no group among which people can not be bought and it is not peculiar to any group.

The best thing is for the country to break up but if it does not then nobody can prevent an Igbo man from eventually becoming President at one point
