Peter Obi is still the same Nigerian politician that hopped from APGA to become Atiku's vice in PDP and now Presidential candidate of Labour Party. The reason Peter Obi fled to Labour was because PDP opened it's presidential ticket bid to al, instead of zoning it to the SE. He is your regular Nigerian politician PDP = LP = APC.
